A Fox Tale

A Fox Tale

Using my drawings as a guide, I create a story based around drawings I have made in the past, and future. This will be the first time I write a story from the perspective from an animal, in this case a fox, so criticize as much as you want!

A trip to the Lookout

A trip to the Lookout
Arriving at lookout point, a sharp cliff edge with a steep drop, Fern sat looking down at the world. No matter how large, how many things lived in the forest, he was alone, and he knew that. The hard rain had stopped, and the world sat still, motionless, silent. Not even the common birds could be seen from this height. Fern wondered whether it'd be better to let gravity take over, but decided against it. He peered over the edge, and quickly got a glance of two figures standing firm in a clearing, just standing there.
"What's going on down there?" He asked himself.
"I've never seen those two here before...They look like wolves, but I can't tell from this distance..." He whispers to himself.
Moving his attention away from the new arrivals, he looks around more to find something that would resemble a home. Though all Fern could see atop this point was forest tree top, the occasional clearing, but nothing else. Looking down at the ground, Fern whispered to himself once more.
"I should've known this would have been pointless.. Everything I do seems to be a mistake..I don't hunt like I was told, I don't speak to anything but myself..I'm all alone, and homeless now.."
He pauses for a few minutes, just sitting near the edge. The wind is still, rain has stopped, and no activity is heard for miles. The Sound of Silence is deafening.
"If there's no home here, where else will I go, I've never been outside of this area before... But, maybe that's where everyone went, beyond this cliff, and into the unknown. How do I know who's friendly though..? How do I know who I'm supposed to trust, and who is supposed to be my enemy?" He asks himself before getting up, and moving away from the cliff. He gives a subtle sigh, the starts heading across the rocky terrain. No vegetation lie in the coming stretch of mountain, just the rocks and him.

These are going to be extremely short chapters....but there's quite a few of them.... I'm trying my best to squeeze as much detail as possible out of each image....but it appears I'm failing....
I could be writing this better, I know I can...but why am I not..?

I think you should try and merge version one and two together.
