Wedding Day
When I woke up on my wedding day my bed was covered in rose petals and I laid back to enjoy the few moments of silence I would get today. That moment was shattered when my sisters rushed in and bounced on my bed sending the flowers ever where. We laughed for a good solid minute and a half before I was rushed into a bath. I soaked for an hour before I was helped from the tub and given a towel. I dried off and was about to walk into my room when Baliee and Sabina through me a robe and sat me in a chair they had put in front of the mirror. They giggled and talked but I stayed out of the conversation because I was more focused on how long I had till it was all done. They did my hair and makeup which involved a lot of poking and stabbing. They turned me around so I could see what I looked like and I was left speechless. They had left most of my hair done but pinned the curls around it creating a interesting design. My makeup was simple natural colors that were light. I was weighed down with tons of makeup like Bailee usually did to me. I was released to go sit in my room and relax while the got ready for the wedding. I read a book until they were ready and came back to help me get dressed. They were in pale violet and their hair was down they had also put a white lily in their hair. Mabelle got my dress from the closet and showed everyone the finished product. It was a ball gown with flower details on the bodice with some pearls.
"Something New," she said spinning around the room with it getting a round of applause from us. Mabelle helped me into the dress and laced it up when she was done.
"Something borrowed," said Sabina and she put dainty slippers on my feet so I wouldn't have to wear heels.
"Something old," Baliee said and handed me a box. When I opened it there was Mother's veil and I was thrown back. When I was little I used to put on and pretend to be her. Jaclyn caught me once but instead of yelling at me she laughed and pretended to be Father. That brought a tear to my eye but I blinked it back and smiled. I hugged them really hard and then they put the veil on. I looked regal and like the adult I wasn't but needed to be.
"I almost forgot," Baliee said turning around she pulled out a small box from then bag she had.
"Something blue," they said weakly. I opened and inside was a pair of blue earrings that I had seen in a window when we had shopped together long before the battle. A small piece of paper was inside and it was a note in Jaclyn's handwriting.
My Sweet Baby Sister,
I am so sorry I couldn't be there for this big day. I knew one of us wouldn't make it through the battle. I decided to make this note just in case. I had bought this for your birthday but the situation demanded it. Goodbye my sweet sister but live your life, my death was not your fault. This isn't forever.
Love,
Jaclyn.
