Three days after Nanette made her big appearance Uncle had a birthday party for Radcliff. He was turning eighteen and we had already packed everything up to run away. Radcliff would have access to his trust and he said we were going to settle down in the country somewhere with plenty of sky above us. I had packed everything up but the picture of my mom and dad at their wedding. I planed to leave it so my uncle would know we were not coming back. I had gone and bought him a picture frame with the two of us in it before the man came that day. When I got to my room our uncle was waiting on my bed with the photo of my parents clutched in his hands so tight his knuckles were red.
"You think you are leaving after the party," he hissed looking up at me with cold red eyes. I just glared at him not saying anything was defiance enough. He tossed the picture towards wall and it chattered but my resolve broke. I flinched and he ran towards me grabbing my throat while slamming me against the wall. "You belong to me," he hissed in my ear but I was angry enough I lashed out and kicked him away from me. Radcliff came in and surveyed the scene as I sunk to the ground a scared little girl again. Kadin and my sisters came in soon after putting themselves between me and our uncle.
"If you ever touch my little sister again I will end you," Radcliff yelled as he seemed to pulse anger making everyone but Uncle shrink back.
"Your siblings belong to me and I intend to prove it tonight," Uncle hissed and with a flip of his shoulder stormed out. Sabina came and helped me up while I cried into her shoulder while she patted and soothers.
"Come on we need to get you ready for a party," Bailee chirped and the boys left. The party started at four and when I descended the staircase everyone turned to look at me. Sure my sisters were next to me but it felt like everyone was looking at me. When we had joined the party and were mingling my uncle started his speech. My siblings and I drifted together towards the middle of the room our hands touching.
"Today we celebrate two things," my uncle started," We celebrate the eighteenth birthday of my nephew Radcliff." When Radcliff waved everyone applauded then turned back to him while our hands gripped tighter. "We also celebrate the engagement of my youngest niece Lacee," he finished while the room spun around me. Everyone fixed their terrified gazes at me and that was when I knew that we couldn't leave. An engagement between vampire is unbreakable until it is complete or death...
