Mack's Rants - Issue 6: Self Harm

I talked a little about this in the last rant, and I want to go over it completely. This topic is something I think people shy away from, whether because they have done it and they're embarrassed or they just think people shouldn't talk about it. The rant is about....... self harm.
Are you all cringing? Whether from the fact I had the courage to write about it and put it on the Internet for everyone to see, or because you do or have done it and you don't want to talk about it?
Sorry guys, but this is serious. I think this is going to be one of the most serious things I ever write about. The things I say might sound harsh, but people won't listen to you baby talking them so it's time you grow a pair and get ready to hear the truth.
Self harm is no joke. It's a serious mental illness that I believe most people who say they have it, DON'T. Here's why: it seems the 90% of the people who self harm put it on the Internet. Those people can suck it, because the only mental illness they have is being an attention seeking moron who damages their beautiful body for, what else, ATTENTION. Grow up, people! Why not get attention for doing something that isn't ruining your body? Are some people so stupid that they think this is cool, or a good way to receive attention? I'm not going to sugar coat this: you're stupid.
What makes you think this is a good way to get attention? You taking a picture of your body after you've cut it up and put it on social media isn't what that kind of depression is like. When you cut yourself because of the fact that you have a legit mental disease, you don't show it to the whole world. Guess who shows that to the whole word? Attention seeking MORONS.
If you want to hear someone get real with you, type in "onision self harm" on YouTube and see. I'm being nice about this, and if you think I'm being mean, go watch his videos.
What the heck is wrong with you people, when you think self harm is a way to get attention? Yeah, you're going to get attention, from people who realize how absolutely STUPID you are for putting that on the Internet.
And now let's talk about the people who cut themselves on their wrists and stuff. You're seeking attention too, wanna know why? Because you're putting it in the most obvious places, where people can see it. But you're probably shaking your head and saying "But I only wear long sleeves." Yeah, because you don't want to seem like you're seeking attention, but guess what, you are.
Long sleeves won't prevent people from seeing it. They're going to know. When my mom was in rehab, she met a girl who had a serious problem and cut herself in places you would never think or ever see.

Okay, I got a little mean there so I'm really sorry if I offended anyone but being nice about it isn't going to help people get better. If you think I'm harsh, go watch Onision and figure out that I really am just barely getting mean.
But I love you guys and if you do self harm, stop. No reason is reason enough to damage your body. You're freaking beautiful and I hate to see you tear yourself down. I love you guys, like I always say. I say it because you need to know that people love you, and maybe I can help someone by telling them the truth: that you're beautiful and I love you. If it counts at all to you. :)
