Is this Love?

Chapter 2

    I find him glancing at me multiple times. I guess that makes sense beings that I cried due to heartwarming words he said. He seems to be really cool. I get hit in the head with yet another paper airplane. Damn it, why am I the messenger girl for Ellie all the time. We don't even have this class together! Oddly this had Mich's name on it. Im about to tap his shoulder, and he's looking at me. My heart throbbed. My cheeks feel hot.
    "U-um. Someone wanted t-to give th-this to you..." I whisper.
    "Thanks, Kathyrine." Mich says.
    I whip my head to the front of the classroom. Mrs. Smirnth was teaching us about fungi. I secretly pull my sketchpad from underneath my science binder. I sketch out the fungi presented then label it. I need to draw or write the problem or whatever it is to understand it. The bell rings, it's nutrition now. I walk to the school quad. Ellie is waving with a bright smile on her face. I jog over and see Josh. Josh is her latest boyfriend, he scares me.
    "Kathy, what cool drawing are in you sketchpad today?" Ellie asks.
    I smile and pull out my other sketchpad. I flip to the new drawings I made last night. One was a kitten and puppy sitting next to each other. The other was a cute awkward couple holding hands. Im good at drawing anime and realistic animals. I look at Ellie face when she looks at them. The she tackles me into a hug.
    "IT'S SO CUTE! Although you're adorable, too!" She squeals.
    I giggle. I always felt comfortable with Ellie, she's my only friend. In Oregon anyway. Josh glared at me. Fear surges through me as he approaches. Ellie releases her grasp from me. My arm is captured by Josh. The next thing I know, something is against my lips. I push against him. I'm scared, my heart is throbbing with pain and fear. He breaks the kiss and I'm crying.
    "E-ellie... H-elp me. I'm s-scared." I whisper.
    My legs give way. Im sitting on the ground, trembling and scared. Ellie rushes to my side and wraps her arms around me. My hands fly up to her arms.
    "What the h*** is your deal!? If you like her break up with me and ask her out. You don't force a kiss on her! She's a fragile flower. Look at her, she's traumatized!" Ellie yells at her new ex.
    I look around. People are staring at us. I see Mich, my heart throbs. I don't like the look he's giving Ellie and Josh. I stand up, breaking the hug from Ellie. I run, run as far away from the crowd until I meet the edge of the school grounds. I sit on a nearby bench, I let all the tears escape my eyes. I look at the quad. Someone's approaching me. I pull my hood over my head. I don't want anyone looking at me.
    "Hey, Kathyrine, are you okay?" Ellie's voice asks me.
    "E-ellie. I wanna c-crawl into a hole and d-die." I whimper.
    "Kathy, don't say that. He's just a big, self centered jerk. I promise he won't touch you ever again."
    She grabs my hand. She walks with me behind her. My eyes didn't leave the ground. I hear yelling. I squeeze my eyes shut.
    "Kathyrine is crying 'cause of you!" Mich's voice yells.
    "So what? It's not my fault she's a sensitive, crying b***h. She is nothing but another useless girl to me." Josh's voice states.
    "Is that all girls are to you? a play thing!?"
    "What's it matter to you?"
    "Look at her. Her face is drenched with tears that you gave her. Does that not faze you?"
    "Should it?"
    My eyes fly open when I here something getting hit. Mich and Josh were fighting. I run between them.
    "STOP IT! JUST STOP!" I scream at the top of my lungs.
