Even after thousands of years I still hated that memory.
And now, because of it, I was stuck here.
At least until I decide I want to walk around on earth for a bit, bothering mortals with useless conversations.
I sighed and straightened myself. Then I got a hold of my emotions, subduing them as much as I could, and teleported out of there.
I saw Scratch reading a book. He hadn't seen me yet, for I was invisible. I sat next to him and read it with him. He didn't even know.
Then I appeared.
"You know that stuff is pretty outdated, right?"
He jumped, cursing quietly, and looked at me.
"Where did you come from??"
"I was always here."
"Yeah but- Nevermind. Why are you here?"
"Why are any of us here? Because we can."
"Well please don't do that again."
I smirked.
"No promises."
"And also.. What do you mean by its outdated? How can anything historical be outdated?"
"Because it talks about different artifacts and enchanted weapons. Those don't exist anymore. Only a few do. And their so closely guarded you might as well jump into a volcano for all the good you'll do."
"What about this one?" He pointed to a small cross shaped artifact with round gems imbedded within it.
Some part of me froze.
"Nightmare?"
"That... That one is just a myth. A legend forsay." I looked away.
"You look pale. Is something wrong?"
"It's nothing."
"Well, what does this 'myth' do?"
"It can revive anybody with a celestial nature."
"And that means?"
I sighed.
"You are really quite ignorant. It can revive Ancient angels and demons."
"I already guessed that, but I wanted to be sure."
I got up and started walking away.
"Where are you going?"
"It's none of your business, mortal."
"Ok then..?"
Once I was out of sight I went invisible again, and sighed. I hated my life. Why did it have to be so complicated?
But.. That artifact.
What if it could revive Nico?
I shook my head, dispelling the thought.
It would never work.
Especially not with my curse.
