Chapter 3- Magic
"--Hey, wake up."I yawned and opened my eyes, rubbing the back of my head. It hurt a bit.
"What happened?"
"You passed out."
"Right." I sighed and looked down once again at my scar.
"You ok?" Ash looked worried.
"Y-yeah, fine. Perfectly fine."
She sighed and helped me up. A thought suddenly came to me.
"How long was I asleep for?"
She hesitated, unsure if she should tell me or not.
"Please tell me."
She looked away and sighed.
"You were asleep for 7 months."
I felt like I had just been punched in the gut.
"7 months?!"
Ash nodded.
"How.. I mean... How are you..?"
"It doesn't matter how I feel..."
"I..." I wanted to say I'm sorry, but it wouldn't cut it. So instead I said
"I guess it makes sense why you yelled at me, heh." I smiled a little. Thankfully, Ash smiled back.
"I worked on that speech for a long time, I must admit. Next time you do something as DUMB as charging into a fight I'm going to-"
"Kill me, I get it."
She pursed her lips in a awkward smile.
"More like kill everyone but you. You have to be careful."
She reached out to put her hand on my shoulder. As her hand touched me a sudden jolt zapped me. I felt for a split second her power growing to a insane level, and it sent tingles all over my body. All of my ancient instincts told me 'Danger! This person will kill you!' I shook off the feeling with a small shudder. I flinched and she quickly pulled away.
"Sorry. That happens sometimes."
"What was that..?"
"It um.. Its my power. Its been getting stronger and...." she trailed off rubbing her arm.
"More unpredictable."
"That's right."
"How is it getting stronger?"
That's when we heard a knock at the door
