Chapter 21- Halfbreed

Chapter 21- Halfbreed Wave after wave of indescribable pain shot through my skull. I wanted to scream, to hit something, to relieve this agony. But it kept coming. I tasted blood as I bit my tongue. I couldn't feel my body. My vision flickered and dimmed.
With all my strength I managed to look up.
Blaise was walking towards Nightmare, her spear by her side. Just as she was about to skewer him a dark blur of motion swept around his hand. A long, black, evil looking scythe appeared in his hand. It had one blade, a silver so white it appeared to have its soul stolen from it. Before Blaise could react he grabbed the haft of her spear in one hand, pulling her a bit closer, then put the blade of his scythe against her neck. He glared at her, his dangerous eyes piercing into her own green eyes. She froze. The pain in my head seemed to lessen a bit.
Then it suddenly rebounded in a incredible amount. I clutched my head even tighter, silently screaming within myself. Nightmare flinched, one hand on the side of his head. She backed away, ripping her spear from his hands. and pointing it at his neck again. He raised his head upward to avoid being stabbed.
"You don't seem all that mighty to me, you big, fat, dark lying basta-"
"Blai-" I tried to speak, but the pain incapacitated me again. I cried out.
She saw my pain and her eyes widened. Instantly the spike was removed, and I crumpled to the floor. I panted, my vision going dark around the edges. I was covered in sweat.
While Blaise was distracted Nightmare touched her forehead, and I saw a spark of dark magic. Blaise fell over, passed out. Nightmare looked at me.
"Your girlfriend is a physco."
And like that he vanished.

I gasped, sitting upright. Then I winced as a headache racked me. I rubbed my head.
What happened..?
Then I saw Blaise nearby, a look on her face so intense in concentration I didn't want to know what she was thinking about. Then she saw me.
"Azriel, are you ok?"
"Yeah. Just got a bit of a headache."
"I'm sorry about that. I got so carried away I forgot about you."
I grunted, not really willing to respond, as I traced slow circles on the sides of my head to alleviate the headache.
"At least we found something out about that guy."
"What?" I looked at her, surprised.
"He's a angel demon hybrid."
"How do you know that..?"
"His blood. Its silver. Only Demon angel hybrids get that."
"Why don't I have that then?"
"Because your not as closely related. Your parents were mixed between angels and demons a lot. But his parents were a pure angel, and a pure demon."
All this thinking made my head hurt. I silently cursed and rubbed it some more.
"So your saying... He's half angel? And half demon?"
"Yup."
"Is he immortal?"
"I don't know. Most likely."
I sighed.
"Anything else you've learned?"
"Eh, well, he shouldn't exist. That kind of hybrid hasn't been seen in thousands and thousands of years, when a lone gray angel, that's their proper name, went on a rampage, killing dozens of angels and demons alike. But since he lived with the angels, he mostly targeted them."
"What happened after that?"
"The gray angel ran around the three realms, between the angels land, the mortals, and the demons underground area. They slaughtered dozens of people, then here is where history got a bit fuzzy. Some say they killed themselves from insanity, while others say they got killed by a group of angels. But a third possibility rose. It was said that the day they died a great burst of dark magic appeared, greater then ever before. So they may have survived doing some impressive feat of magic, and so, escaped."
"Those are all a bunch of baloney."
We both flinched again. Nightmare was standing nearby, looking as good as ever, although I caught a glimpse of white bandages.
"Great, your back." Blaise sounded sarcastic.
"Don't hate on the truth, sweetheart. Because I know what happened to them."
"You do?" I sounded incredulous.
"Obviously. I was there."
