Chapter Two
"Wakie Wakie, time to leave sunshine."I woke up the thired time that night.
The alarm clock showed 4 AM on its screen.
"What?," I mummbeled, still asleeping. "Why does it have to be in the middle of the night?"
"Well, I'd be happy to stay if you want to. The evil hybrid wants to kill you, not me, so I've got nothing to worry about."
I jumped out of the bed. "How do you know he's here?"
Felix frowned. "I can smell the basterd.
which probably means he can smell us too, you know, being an evil hybrid and all that."
He closed the small bag full of his clothes and hanged it on his shoulder.
"Ready to leave?"
I nodded. We checked that we didn't forget anything important, "payed" (compelled) the cashier, and took the hell off there.
While sitting in the car, I realized that I've been wearing the same clothes for four days now.
I looked down at myself, scared to find out what I looked like,
and found out that I was wearing one giant black tank top and dark jeans that was a little too long.
I wasn't surprised when I realized Felix has dressed me in his own clothes,
Although I did check out my underwear just in case. (It was the same one I wore when I was kidnapped. Gross, but feeeww..)
I thanked him quietly, and berated myself for not taking a shower at that motel earlier.
Finely, about two hours later, Felix parked his black mostang at what looked like the middle of no-where.
We got out of the car.
The sky were painted in pink and yellow shades and the sun was almost rising.
I heard birds singing, scaring the last night crickets away. Taking their place in the living, breathing radio that is nature itself. How poetic.
I followed Felix in silence as he lead me into the woods.
Every now and then he would stop, sniff the air a couple of times and then continue walking.
"How do you do that?" I decided to ask something that was bugging me for hours now.
"do what?" He said without stopping or even looking at me.
"Use your sense of smell for tracking things. I thought only werewolves could do that."
"That's almost true." He stopped to smell his way to wherever we were heading to again. "only werewolves, hybrids, and, well, me."
"how come?"
"Let's just say I had a good teacher. And it's really non of your bussiness, Hudson.
Anyway, we're here"
I looked around, looking for something special, like a cave, a cabbin, or maybe like, a giant sign that says 'no evil hybrids allowed'.
For my total surprise, I did not see any giant signs in the skyline.
"And where is 'here' exacly, if i may ask?"
By now I realized that I'm not even sure what county I'm in. I was to emberessed to ask Felix, though.
"Oh, just the middle of the woods," He replied, he turned to look at me, and then, without further warning,
he lifted me on his shoulder and threw me into a lake.
I tried to scream, but who would hear me in the middle of nowhere?,
and even if somone did, I doubt he could get past a thousand year old, grumpy, treacherous vampire viking.
honestly, I was one hundred precent sure that I was going to die.
What a joke, I found myself thinking.
'Christopher Hudson, a loving brother and son, followed his murderer into the middle of the woods without any sense of doubt,
drowned to death in a lake. May he rest in peace.'
Seriously, if I wasn't fighting for my ability to breathe, I would probably burst in laughter.
I stopped fighting. It had no point. Felix's hand was as still as concret.
He was probabbly laughing out there, that I'm even TRYING to resist him.
I started thinking about Maya and peter and Tom, and even Mama June.
How they would all feel when they hear what happend to me.
Hopefuly they would somehow know it was Felix,
or will he just come back to them, crying fake tears,
telling everyone how an evil hybrid strangled me to death while he could do absolutly nothing to stop it.
My eyes are closing, my mind starts to get more and more cloudy.
I'm not sorry for living my life the way I did.
I was happy, most of the time.
I had people who loved me. I had people to love.
that was my last thought before everything started to go black.
