“You really want to go with him, don’t you?” her facial muscles relax. “I haven’t forgiven you yet,” they quickly tense up in a small glare, but soon relax once more. Her lips perk up into a smile and I know in my heart that she’ll forgive me one day. “Alright, you can abandon me,” her eyes and expression show two different things. The smile and rosy cheeks would be enough for me to squeal and rejoice but her eyes. They show something else, something darker, colder. Loneliness.
“I’ll come back and visit,” I say, watching her eyes carefully. “You won’t be alone,”
I walk out to Newt, smile from ear to ear.
“LONDON, HERE WE COME!” I yell, for the first time in what seems like ever. I’m not much of a yeller. Newt claps his hands above his head, his lips parting into a beautiful toothy smile. Without realising my laughter, I run up to him and jump into his arms. He picks up my small, fragile body and swings me around, my legs flying through the air. The sensation is like flying, but without the fear of falling. Because of the safe arms capturing me and keeping me. As my feet hit the ground I let go of the grip I didn’t even notice around his shoulders. “Well, say something!” I exclaim, my eyes searching his.
“Ouch,” he whimpers, a small laugh escaping his lips. Immediately, I remember. I forgot about the cuts, the bruising, the fact that Newt shouldn’t be able to swing me around in his arms.
“Oh my god I’m so sorry!” I gasp, taking a step back.
“It’s ok,” he meets my worried gaze. “It was worth it,”
