Not so sweet dreams.

Shadow's P.O.V.
Darkness. Nightmares. Maria's Death. Black Doom's Army. All of it rushing through my head in pure darkness. I growled in sleep, feeling my ears flatten against my skull. Light. I watched all those memories disappear to be replaced by a bright light. I purred happily before feeling something weird and waking up. My arms were around something and holding it tight. Someone. I was holding the girl and petting her hair. I smiled running my fingers through her hair. I kissed her ear and saw that she was frowning in her sleep. I nuzzled her muzzle softly again smiling. She started petting my chest fur which lulled me back to sleep.

Alexis' P.O.V.
I woke up from my nightmare petting something soft. "Huh?" I muttered softly rubbing my eyes. I heard purring and looked up yawning. Shadow was asleep holding me tight. I blushed looking at the window past him. I thought I saw Eggman's face just for a second but it faded away. I didn't want to get up because I was to tired. I looked back at Shadow again who was asleep softly. I thought for a moment about Joseph before falling asleep.
