Long Ago
Now I have said this before, but led it be said again. No one knows for sure how Deltora came to be. However, a ways off, there was a land which had it's own magical protection know as the land of Pirra.The Pirran Pipe was the equivalent of our Belt of Deltora. And the Piper, the equivalent of our King. Now, there were magical, evil beings known as the shadow beings.
They were void of shape and mass, but were able to transform into an imitation of a human through...dark magic. The shadow beings were cunning, and evil. Much like the dreaded Ols the Shadow Lord made. One of the shadow being convinced the people of Pirra to split the Pirran Pipe into three pieces, and by the time the Pirran realized their mistake, it was too late.
No matter how hard anyone tried, the land was rooted in deep dark magic, and the inhabitants of the Pirran land disappeared. Some say they died off, others say they hid under ground, but no one really knows. The shadow being that convinced the Pirrans to split the pipe into three parts, grew strong in evil magic and is now what we know as...The Shadow Lord. Well, I think that is enough stories for one day. Untill we meet again, farewell!
