Warring Hearts
“Know what I’m going to do for that remark?” she suddenly said, a comment given to her by none other than Duke about the candy he’d given her last time they met. Hilda turned to him with a determined look in her eyes, “I challenge you to a match of Dungeon Dice Monsters! If I win, you leave me be for three days.”A confident smirk crossed the duelist’s face; challenging him to his own game, huh? Seemed she was sure she’d be the winner then, but Duke knew she was certainly no Yugi Moto when it came to games like this. “Alright then, if I win then you’ll have to put up with me without any objections for three days. Deal?”
That deterred Hilda a little. His flirtatious personality was hard enough to deal with as it was, but at the same time, he’d leave her alone for a little while if she won. That was enough to get her to accept, “Fine. I’m willing to take that chance.”
“Looks like I win, Hilda~” Duke taunted, which only earned him an irritated look from the silver-eyed woman and a ‘shut up’ thrown in his direction.
Sadly, he was right; that didn’t exactly end up in Hilda’s favor. Perhaps she should have challenged him to Duel Monsters instead; she was terrible at Dungeon Dice Monsters. She’d have to practice a lot more if she was ever to beat the game’s creator.
