Qfeast losing it's charm?
The fight used to be about role-play.Qfeast took away the ability to roleplay, leaving qfeasters everywhere desperate for the technique back. Roleplaying was pretending, simply pretending to be someone you wasn't. Back in May, and in 2013, if you clicked "Discover" the screen would be stocked with different pages such as "Sonic RP", "MLP RP", and "Divergent RP." Fans of different things came together to create a world that couldn't be seen outside your window.
Then it was MLP.
MLP stands for My Little Pony. The old TV show had small, plastic-looking ponies who looked so delightfully cheesy they could poop rainbows and chat with pink fluffy unicorns. Then, the director of the young TV show upgraded My Little Pony to a more old version. The ponies that looked like unicorns soon became animated and delighted people everywhere. Even thirteen year olds liked the new My Little Pony!
Qfeast was becoming the My Little Pony fansite. And Qfeast, the qfeast team under a username, didn't like this huge commotion over the new ponies one tiny little bit.
Qfeast told Qfeast users who loved the show to, if they create MLP stuff, to PLEASE keep it in their profile. MLP work started to fade from Qfeast, and veryone was peaceful once again.
But the harmony didn't last long. Shouts of "We want MLP!" can be heard all across Qfeast. Qfeast struggled with the weight of the fans against the harmless website, but continued not to accept the fan work.
Then it was the 2000 words. Many Qfeasters wrote short poems or stories and the rule prevented them from publishing their work. They had to add unwanted and unnecessary sentences to their work.
Then Qfeast boosted the rule. Now it's 3000 characters, 750 words. Why is Qfeast doing this? It all comes down to the Make This World A Better Place incident.
See, Qfeast thinks this is all for the best. The creators of this website think that by adding these rules that people hate will make the community a better place. And who can blame them? All qfeast wants to do is make this a better online place to be.
