The Recovery
Masky gasped. "For me!?" Rose nodded, holding it out. "Yep!" Masky took it slowly. "Thank you!" He ran into his room, put it down, and ran out. He hugged her. "Thank you!" She blushed. "No problem! Go enjoy it!" He nodded, walked in his room, and closed the door. She laughed. She started walking toward her room, and ran into Jeff. She landed on top of him, head on his chest. She opened her eyes, and saw him. She blushed hard. Jeff didn't move. She got up. "Jeff?"Jeff stirred. "Ja- Oh. Um." He blushed, too. "Hi Rose. That was..." They looked away, embarrassed. "At least nobody saw that." Rose tried to stay happy. 'I know how you feel.' Splendy had said. She wasn't alone. "Yeah. True." He nodded. Their eyes locked, and Jeff moved closer. He closed his eyes. She punched him. "Are you trying to kiss me? Are you kidding me?" Jeff clamped his hand over her mouth. "Shh! Don't tell." Rose ripped his hand off, and ran. Jeff followed. "No! Don't touch me!" Rose screamed. She found her way to the living room. "EJ!" EJ jumped over the couch.
"What?" She pointed at Jeff. "He's trying to kiss me!" She went behind his back. EJ grabbed her knife from her belt. "Sorry." Rose blushed. That felt nice. EJ held it in his hand. "Rose, is this true?" Rose nodded, getting behind his back. Jeff blushed. "She bumped into me, and it was weird. Just once, okay EJ?" EJ snarled at him. "Don't touch my girl..." Toby came out. "Jeff, what did you do?" He stood next to EJ. "Did you try to make a move on his girl?" He emphasized the word 'his'. Jeff said nothing, and walked away. Rose called out. "Jane'll know about this!"
Jeff turned, and jumped at Rose. He pushed EJ and Toby aside. She saw the black fire. He was still himself, but not himself. "Black Rose, so help me, if you tell Jane, I-." She put her hand up. "What are you-?" Jeff was curious. She murmured, "I'm sorry." She put her hand on his forehead, and pressed his temple. He fell, and Rose jumped, landing on both feet, and adding balance with one hand. EJ turned, and pointed a the knocked-out Jeff. "How?" She shrugged. "Slendy did it to me when he brought me here. It was all or nothing."
WhenJeff woke up, and had no idea what went on, so Rose got Jane and explained. Jane turned a shade of red. "Get in here!" She pushed him in, and turned to Rose. "Thanks for telling me... He can be so clueless." Rose nodded. Jane shut the door. EJ came up behind Rose. Rose kissed his hand. "Thank you. I'm sorry for acting like a jerk. I just, well... I don't know what happened." EJ nodded. "You talk to Splendy?" She turned and gasped. "How did you know?" He nodded. "Ask anyone. He always pops up when you need him." He whispered, "All of us think he just stalks us all at once." Rose giggled. "Play with me!" Rose turned and blushed.
