Playing in Minecraft: Noob to Pro

The nether

Ok. A whole day has passed and I'm doing something other than Minecraft. I'm actually researching about the nether. The website said that the nether is a place where ghasts, piglins, zombiefied piglins, magma cubes, hoglings and etc live in. It said that there was also rare structures in the nether like the nether fortress. It also said that to make a nether portal you needed at least 12 blocks of obsidian and flint and steel. It said you first make a 3x4 square and then click the middle with your flint and steel and it should turn purple and ghostly with creepy noises coming out of it unless you made the portal wrong. After you make it, all you have to do is step inside. I closed the website and went back to Minecraft. I also learned how to make obsidian and it wasn't that hard. I already have 2 buckets so I got some water in the first one and lava in the second one. I poured them together and watched it turn to obsidian. I collected the obsidian and put them in a 3x4 square shape like the website suggested. then, I mined for iron and flint and made flint and steel. I clicked the nether portal and it worked! I quickly stepped inside and the creepy noise was even more louder now that I was standing on it. I quickly stepped out again and gasped. The nether was not even close to the overworld I live in! In fact, it was probarbly the complete opposite! I quickly hopped out of the portal(because I wasn't ready) and did some more research. The most surprising fact was probarbly the news that if you slept in the nether, the place you're sleeping on will explode and you will die. Although it sounded creepy, my first thought after reading that was:"boy, I'm so glad I didn't barge right in without doing some research!" I returned to minecraft and started mining gold because I wanted to barter some piglins and when I came out, I realized it was getting dark so I went back in my house(this looked even uglier than the dirt house I built on my first night thanks to the villager pen)and fell asleep.(while I was mining the flint, I also got some excess cobblestone & coal so I made lots of furnaces and torches.)
