We Are Soldiers!

We Are Soldiers!

In a world where danger lurks at every shadow, can these cats survive? Humans have begun capturing cats and doing experiments on them left and right. Some show positive signs, making them have powers. And others show negative signs, turning them into soulless monsters. Few cats escape and hide. We are those cats. We are Soldiers!

Unrecognizable (Chapter 20)

~~ Lyna's P.O.V. ~~

I was following Kuturo and the others back to the secret place. By following, I mean I was beating them to the secret place. Even though they were flying, I was running the fastest I could and I was still beating them. I haven't had time to get used to my wings yet so I was running.

When we reached the secret place, everyone turned and stared at me. They didn't recognize me. "W-who is this, Kuturo?" Ina asked, stepping forward from the crowd that had gathered. "This cat claims to be Lyna." Kuturo sighed. "I-Ina... Its me, Lyna!" I said, running over to Ina. "N-no! You're no—" Ina suddenly stopped talking. "I-Ina...?" I was confused on what happened.

"S-she's not lying...She is Lyna," Ina said, raising her voice so everyone could hear her. "What?! That's impossible!" Tay hissed, stepping into view from the crowd. Ina's fur bristled up as she turned to Tay and put her muzzle in Tay's face. "You dare call me a liar?!" Ina spat angrily, raising her voice as her eyes turned a light red. "Ina, calm down. Fighting will get you nowhere with her." Kuturo called out as he stepped between Ina and Tay.

I walked forward, stepping beside Ina. "How do you know it's really Lyna?" Brick called out. "She has visions unlike you. Her galaxy colored pelt, her white eyes, and her powers help form those visions." Tiger defended Ina. "I didn't ask for your opinion!" Brick snapped, butting his nose in Tiger's face. Tiger only growled and glared at him with his ears pinned back on his head.

"Tiger, Brick! Stop fighting," I called over my shoulder to them. They both looked a bit surprised that I knew their names. My black fur bristled as I heard Tay hiss something along the lines of "If it is Lyna I want her out."

"Excuse me? What was that, Tay?!" I snarled, shoving my own muzzle in her face making her rear back in surprise. "You can't be Lyna. And if you are, I want you out of this place and on the streets of the city!" Tay hissed. "Enough! Both of you! I want you both in the Punishment Den by sundown!" Kuturo hissed. "What?!" Tay and I both exclaimed, surprised by his decision. "You heard me." Kuturo said as he turned to fly away.

"I'm sorry, Lyna." Ina quietly said, looking at me with light blue eyes, meaning she was sad and sorry. "Its fine, Ina. It wasn't your fault." I sighed.

~~ Tay's P.O.V. ~~

I hissed furiously, throwing Lyna a 'I-hate-you-so-much' glare. 'Great now she's back...And I'm in trouble.' She just huffed and kept on walking. I growled in frustration and stormed away into the Punishment Den. Something was wrong with me...And it made me feel violent and scary. 'THAT'S IT! I'M DONE WITH THIS PLACE AND IT'S DRAMA!' I plopped down. Suddenly, I didn't care anymore. I threw myself down in the darkest corner. 'I hate this place. I hate the humans. And I hate Lyna.' I thought, hissing under my breath.

Lyna soon came in the Punishment Den and sat down, staring at me coldly. I glared back just as fierce. She huffed and looked away, her stare settling on her 'friends' outside of the Den and I, however, only had Kyro. I was ok with that. Ina and Kyro soon came in and gave us our food.

Well, Ina brought Lyna a squirrel and sat beside her, talking to her. Kyro came over to me and gave me a mouse. He sat next to me and started talking to me. I kept glancing at Lyna and Ina, who were laughing and talking like there was no problem in the world. I wish that was me right now. At least Kyro had stayed to speak with me. He's a good friend.
