Chapter 2
Who decided that it was a smart idea to put us kids outside to eat lunch? The wind was howling blowing drinks over, sandwiches flying through air.
"My nuts!" called out a girl chasing after a plastic bag filled of peanuts.
I was sitting near the green gate, surrounding our school.
When that same boy from the hall came to sit next to me, I smiled and then a took a long sip of my drink.
"What's up?" he asked, as he slid his tray of fish sticks and French fries.
"Nothing really, you know exciting..." I looked off into the distance.
"Okay." He began shaking loads of salt all over his food.
"What are you doing?"
"Putting salt on my food, its bland!"
"That's so unhealthy, eat salad instead or just something that doesn't include that much salt."
He stopped shaking the salt and set it down.
"I don't like salad, and at home mom doesn't allow salt."
"Well then you shouldn't be using it at school either!"
I held out my hand, "Give it!" the boy rolled his eyes and slid the salt over to me, I hid it under the table.
"What's your name?"
"Jessica, but you can call me Jess."
"I'm Jared nice to meet you, Jess."
"You too." The bell rang and everyone trashed their left over food and ran back into the school.
For the rest of the day, I felt calmer, knowing I had a new friend.
The rest of the school day was super slow, it going past as fast a snail.
It was not only taking a long time, but also it was more then boring, they only talked since it was the first day.
About what we would be learning when next week started up, Geometry and Science were the two classes I was hoping to avoid.
Nothing is better then sitting in five classes different class for six hours, everyday, for life.
I looked around the class room, everyone was... I'm going to try to be nice, but in this situation, I cant.
Everyone was kind of fat, I had a plan!
