The talk
"I can't believe you!" Cato said"Why?"
"You volunteered. Why did you?" Cato said
"Because maybe I wanted to. I mean you have not trained ever since the last Hunger Games. You dont have a very good survival rate. I just saved you life!!" Grove exclaimed.
"How could you say that?!?"
"How could I say that?! Cato, you haven't trained for a year. And you are so full of yourself! You don't even know how to use the medical equipment. You just think you can just win based off of your looks and how great you are with weapons. Well you know there are more things than just weapons in this world to know about. And all you rely on is using your cunning looks so sponsors with send you gifts!!! That is you, ok. In my eyes I just saved you life." Grove yelled
Cato was speechless. Grove walked away. Cato turned his back and started turning in the other direction. He looked back at her. He thought this was about more than her just wanting to go to the hunger games.
Grove thought Cato was a brainless little speck of lalaland and had no use in this world.
She went to her room. She mumbled to herself "I can't believe I was ever friends with that brainless jerk! Ugh! He is so confusing and... Ugh! He doesn't even understand!"
Groves mom walked in.
"I think it is time you guys made up."
"No way! I can't believe I ever had feelings for that jerk. He is a viscous killing matchine!" She told her mother.
"Well you have to make up sometime. You are best friends."
"Where." Grove mumbled
"What's? We were best friends."
Cato layed on his bed. He stared at the wall. He though Grove was being unreasonable. Why was she even mad? It was all one big puzzle.
"If only she told me why she was mad." Cato thought.
