Chapter Good Girls (Calum)

I'm talking to Michael as we walk outside after school, when he pushes me into someone. "Oh my God, I'm so sorry, are you okay?" I say, helping the girl up. "Yeah, I'm fine, thank you," she tells me. I recognise the voice as Lauren's. That's why Michael pushed me into her. So I'll talk to her. The two of us have a plan to find out if Lauren likes me - in a way.
She's about to walk away, when I say, "Can I talk to you, actually?" Lauren turns around. "Sure!" she smiles. Michael wanders off, leaving us alone.
"Lauren, I've been meaning to tell you, I've got this friend who likes you," I tell her. She looks confused for a minute. "That's weird," she says. "Luke told me yesterday that he heard that someone likes me. It might be the same person..."
Luke and I have the same idea?! This isn't good...
"No, I don't think it is," I say quickly. "Two people like me?" Lauren exclaims. "That's...like, why? Why would anyone like me?"
I could give her so many reasons why someone would like her, but I just mumble, "You're really nice." Lauren grins. "Well, thanks for telling me, Calum! I'll see you soon!" She walks off, her hair glinting in the sunlight.
I walk over to Michael. "Luke said practically the same thing to Lauren yesterday," I whisper. Michael's eyes widen. "Well, we just have to make her fall in love with you first."
