Chapter 1- The Crash
Sierra~3rd period~ Mr. Ball's Room
"Sierra White, please come to the office!" the intercom crackled. "OOH" the class cooed. "Aww, shut up you dweebs!" I retorted, "I ain't in no trouble so just shut your pie holes!" I yelled. "Class settle down now, Sierra head on to the office." Mr. Ball gave me a sad look and sent me out the door. " Sheesh, rude much." I said rolling my eyes and began to walk down the hall to the office. What I saw when I got there stopped me in my tracks my real dad sitting looking very business like in a suit and tie. "W-what are y-you d-doing here?" I stuttered. "Ah, Miss White how nice of you to join us, please come with me to my office." Ms. Chapel said in a monotone voice, but I could sense a slight hint of pity in her voice.
I entered her office and immediately knew something was wrong. My real dad started crying like a little kid who lost their dog in the park and Ms. Chapel sent him a sympathetic smile. "W-what's g-going on? W-where's my mom?" I screamed. "Baby girl, calm down." my dad tried to settle me, unsuccessfully. "NO I will not calm down AND do NOT call me sweetie!!" I replied with disgust. "Miss White! Do NOT speak to your new guardian like that!" Ms. Chapel shouted above my ranting.
I froze. "W-what? N-new g-guardian?" I gulped. "Yes, Miss White there has been a terrible accident." She explained. "N-no no no no! this can't be happening!!" I belted out. "Miss White! Please let me finish speaking." Ms. Chapel yelled to me. "Yes, please explain to her everything in short detail." My dad simply spoke. I slumped in my chair- a clear sign for Ms. Chapel to finish what she was saying.
"As I was saying, there has been a terrible accident involving your parents, Miss White, rescuers did all they could but the collision was just too much," Ms. Chapel had tears in her eyes now, "I'm so sorry Miss White but your dad didn't make it and your mom is currently in critical condition, the doctors are telling us she isn't going to make it." "N-no! She has to make it! She has to!" I shrieked, collapsing to the floor- I was bawling my eyes out by now.
