Finally! (Chapter 12)

"Cinderpaw, come here sweetie." Yellowclaw called for Cinderpaw as she walked in the Med Den. "Yeah, Yellowclaw? What is it?"  Cinderpaw asked her mother, not looking at her since she was busy sorting out the herbs. "Well, you know Heatherfern?" Yellowclaw asked Cinderpaw. "Yeah. Why?"

"Well she's expecting to have her kits soon." Yellowclaw told Cinderpaw as she laid down in her nest. "Really?" Cinderpaw gasped in excitement and padded over to Yellowclaw. "Mhmm. So when she has them be ready. It will be hard." Yellowclaw told her. "OK!" Cinderpaw said in excitement.

~~ The Next Day ~~

Cinderpaw sent out to stock up on herbs for when Heatherfern has her kits so they'll be prepared. When Cinderpaw found some cobwebs someone's tail swooped them up before she could get them. 'Wh-wha? Who?' Cinderpaw's thoughts were cut off when a head stuck out from the bush. "Why, hello there." It was Foxpaw. Cinderpaw just stared down at him with her eyes wide in shock/surprise since he was crouching down in the bushes and he kinda surprised her. "Were you going after these?" He asked her showing her his tail that had the cobwebs on it. She nodded.

"Well I'm going to take them back now." Foxpaw chuckled. Cinderpaw sighed knowing that she wouldn't be able to get the cobwebs. 'He only wants the attention and the praise.' She thought. She turned around about to leave when he stopped her. "Hey, where you going?" He asked moving to stand in front of her. "Somewhere else." Cinderpaw said looking up a him since he was taller than her. "Is it because I took the cobwebs?" He asked. Cinderpaw shook her head 'no' and tried to walk around him but he pinned her down. "Get off of me..." Cinderpaw said quietly, her shyness getting to her. "And what if I don't wanna?" Foxpaw asked in a flirty voice. His face was now 3-4 inches away from Cinderpaw's face. She was trapped between Foxpaw and the ground. "Wh-what are y-you doing?" She had just enough strength to manage to squeak those words out.  A voice suddenly growled.

"Yeah. What are you doing?"

Cinderpaw flinched.
What is this attention hog gonna do to me?!
A million possibilities flashed through her head. When she heard the voice it all vanished. She looked up to see...Brownpaw?!

He growled at Foxpaw. The ThunderClan apprentice put his paws up in defeat. "Heh, sorry! Didn't know you felt for her that way, Brownpaw." He purred snidely. He growled. "You attention hog! Get off her. And you know I don't feel that way..."

While the two toms bickered, Cinderpaw took the opportunity to escape.

She slid from beneath Foxpaw's grip and popped up beside Brownpaw.

"Purrsonally I don't care how you feel about me, as long as I can just take the cobwebs and go." She knocked Foxpaw over and took the cobwebs. She smirked before leaping off. Brownpaw sighed as Foxpaw snickered.

"The whole clan's gonna know about this..."

~TEM SKIP~

Cinderpaw was cleaning out her nest, singing to herself when she heard a bloodcurdling scream. Suddenly her mom burst into the den. She was out of breath and had a strange smile on her face.

"It's time! They're coming!" She said. Cinderpaw looked up from her nest. Did she mean?...

"No time to explain!" She meowed before taking her paw and dragging her to the nursery. They stood overover Heatherfern. Yellowclaw had a strange, goofy sort of look on her face. "Are you ready, Cinderpaw?" She asked. She nodded, not so sure.

"Ok..." Meowed Yellowclaw. "Go get a stick, quickly!" Cinderpaw nodded and padded off. She came back with a rather large stick, but nothing too fancy. She dropped it at Heatherfern's side, who took it quickly and started chewing.

Soon, two healthy kits were mewing at Heatherfern's side.

"Their names?" Cinderpaw asked. Heatherfern purred softly. "Maykit and Autumnkit..."

"Oh..." She mewed. "Ok..." Yellowclaw laughed, slightly amused. "Excellent names, Heatherfern." "Autumnkit looks a bit weird... She's acting sort of strange, too..." Cinderpaw muttered quietly, but nobody noticed.

"Yes, I know, and just look at my little Maykit! She's so cute, such sleek black fur, and look at her amazing red puff of hair on her head, and Autumnkit–"

"SHUT UP HEATHER!" A queen barked. Heatherfern rolled her eyes and continued to groom her new kits.

"Ok... Thank you, Cinderpaw. You may leave."

"Well that was quick..." Cinderpaw padded back to her den. On her way she saw a bunch of clanmates her age giggling and staring at her. She thought it was a bit odd, but she brushed it off. She continued on her way. Soon one of her fellow apprentices, Shallowpaw, was padding next to her. She was trying to keep a straight face and failing miserably.

"So"–giggle–"How was cobweb hunting yesterday?"–snort–"See anybody... interesting?~"
Cinderpaw had no idea what was going on. "Uh, noo..." She giggled again. She bumped against her in an odd way.
"Sooo, you didn't see a certain RiverClan warrior? And said warrior didn't do a certain... Thing?"

Now she was REALLY confused.
"What are you talking about, Shallowpaw?"

She snickered. "Weeeell... Foxpaw said that yesterday you were gathering cobwebs, and then Foxpaw came and stole the cobwebs and then you pounced on him and flirted and then Brownpaw came and helped out and that apparently now you have three love interests and yeah. I came over here on a dare, SO IS IT ALL TRUE?"

Cinderpaw was shocked. "No! Of course it's not true! Just, ugh..." She sighed, a deep, frustrated sigh. "I'm going back to my den... I'll deal with Foxpaw tomorrow... For now... I need to rest..."
