Bite Me

Acceptance

Sesa patted her head.
"It's fine, Kara. I'm not leaving you, I'm just tired of being kept in that damned room. You kept me locked in there for god knows how long."
She looked up at him, tears staining her eyes.
"Y-you really mean that, Sesa-senpai?" She asks, crawling out of the hole and sitting in his lap.

He smiled a little, blushing as he rubbed his neck.
"That's the thing. I was actually gonna leave and call the cops, but then... Well, the look on your eyes gave it away. I'm... Sorry I was an asshole, Kara."
She smiles and puts her forehead on his, looking into his eyes and laying her hands on his chest.

He blushed and hovered his lips above hers.

"So you do care about me..." She whispers, feeling her heart beat faster and faster.
He hesitates, then nods. "I... Guess I do. But I want some answers before anything else."

She nodded gladly, getting off of his lap.
He sat up and put his back against the wall.
"First off, why me?" He asked, letting himself adjust to the sudden influx of light.
She looked away, fumbling with her hands.
"W-well, you were the only one who didn't call me a freak because of my... Abilities..." She replies, shying away from the sunlight.

He raises an eyebrow, then shifts a little, wary of her answer of the next question.
"Are you some kind of ghoul?"
She shakes her head, and states in all seriousness,
"No... I'm a vampire."

His jaw drops, and, as if he didn't believe her, she stuck her hand into the sunlight, which began to burn her. She let out a small scream, then pulled her hand back into the shadows.

Sesa's eyes went huge, and he just...
He just couldn't believe it!

"So... Now you know and you'll leave me, just like mom and dad..." She barely whispers, seeing her hand sizzle and heal in the shadows.
"So... How'd you..?"
"I was born like this..." She begins, her eyes glowing a deep red in the shadows. "When I was born, I had to have a blood transplant because they did something wrong. Apparently a blood donor was a full blood vampire, and when I got it, I became a half-breed. Half-breeds are stronger and faster than 'normal' vampires, but the side effect is... G-general insanity..."

Sesa blinks, then sighs.
"Damn..."
She curls into a ball and begins to silently sob.
"Now you're gonna leave me because we can never be together, in the sun..."

Sesa looks down, ashamed of his recent behavior.
Then, a crazy idea went through his head, and he pulled his shirt off.
This made her blush.
"S-sesa, what are you--"
He took her hands in his, and her looked right into her eyes.
"I want you to bite me."

She freezes.
"You... What?" She asks, shocked.
He smirked, then showed his neck. "Bite me."
"B-but Sesa-senpai, if you're not a virgin, you'll turn into a ghoul!" She stated, and he nodded.
"I know. But I want to at least say I tried." He says, smiling a little.
She blushed and nodded, biting her arm, then his, and they begin to drink each other's blood.

When they were done, Sesa choked and gasped, and Kara tried to comfort him in any way she could.

Then, he dies.
Kara pulls him close.
"She, Sesa-senpai... You'll be Ok.." she days to herself, feeling his pulse weaken.

A few hours later, it had been hours before he took another breath, then sat straight up.
"Jesus, that hurt!" He says, holding where she had bitten him. Then he looks at her, seeing she's asleep, and smiles.

"You've done me a huge favor, Kara. Now it's time I do you one." He says, standing up and picking her up, into his arms like a baby.
"Mmm, senpai..."
"Yes?"
"Love you.."
He hesitates, then sighs and kisses her forehead.
"I love you too, Kara."

Kara smiled in her sleep, then cuddled closer to his chest. He smiled, laying her down, then laying with her.

Maybe this life wouldn't be so bad after all.
