Bite Me

Nightmare

Sesa played there, bored out of his skull.
"I wish she'd just kill me..." He whispers, hearing the door open. "What is it this time, Kara? I don't need any food or water..."

Kara sat in his lap, in a pink night gown.
"I-I had a nightmare, Senpai..." She says, laying on top of him and cuddling him.
He was actually rather shocked at this.
"You. You had a nightmare?" He asks, not convinced at all.
She nods, squeezing him tightly.
"You left me... Then you married someone else, and then you had kids... And I just faded away, like o was made of smoke..." She says quietly, her nails digging into the flesh of his back.

He sighed.
"Kinda can't leave if I'm tied up, ya know. Besides, I wouldn't worry about that, because-"
He stopped when he heard her snore quietly, still clung to him.
He sighs again, then finishes with, "Because I have no one but you."

He closed his eyes, falling asleep again.
In his dream, there was a girl with black hair that lead him through an alien forest, laughing as she does. He smiles and follows for what seems to be hours until they come across a clearing. She smiles and takes his hand, floating upward. He tried to get his hand away, but she grabbed his arm and anchored herself to him.
She then whispered in his ear, "Let go of this world, Senpai-san... Or keep me here, with you..."
He didn't like either option...

Meanwhile, in Kara's mind, she was anchoring herself to Sesa. "Don't let me go... Please, Senpai-san..." She whispers, afraid of what he can't see.
He couldn't see the Oni teasing her, ready to eat her soul should she let go of him.
Sesa gulped, then looked down and let her go.
Kara gasps, feeling herself being pulled into the grasp of the demon...

Then Sesa grabbed her foot and pulled her down, her hair floating in the air.
"You may be insane," He says, making her look down in shame, "But you're like me... You just need an anchor, and that demon will leave you alone."

Kara smiled and let her tears fall, hugging him and crying. He sighs and hugs back, gently petting her hair.

Kara smiled in her sleep and cuddled as close to him as she could.
Sesa slept fitfully, not wanting to do it...

But if he didn't, she'd lose herself.
And he'd lose his own life.
