The two lucky kids
We all circled together. There was chaotic noise. I couldn't hear anything other than arguments. I started looking around. So many adults, not very may children. 76 of us total. I counted all the people who looked above the age of 13. 73 people were at least teenagers. 3 children were in our group. How could I let such a precious child be at risk of dying? If two of them left, that would leave one, then we all could decide to let the child win in the end. everybody would understand right?I went over to one of the children. "what's you're name?" I asked
"Kayli" she said quietly.
I was surprised I could hear her. I noticed everyone became silent and was watching me.
"How old are you?" I asked
"9" she responded. Nothing much, just a simple satisfying number.
I stood up, and spoke up "Everyone, I think Kayli should be one of the people who resigns. She has much more to live for."
everyone agreed with me. we all decided it would be best to send the youth out of this game. we ended up sending one more boy name Thomas out.
"Lifeline... Can you hear us?" I asked
there was a small silence. "yes I can hear you. have you decided?"
"yes we have. We are going to send out Kayli and Thomas."
"okay." was all he said and before we knew, Kayli and Thomas were gone.
Those two lucky kids. Now I have to fight for the other one. The other kid has to live too, right?
