Savior
Taiga was cuddled up to Sesa, tears streaming down in what seems like eternity."There it is. That's what happened." She says, wiping her eyes. "I didn't know why he did it. I still don't know, and I don't want to. That part of my life is over. I... I promised I'd protect you. But it went beyond that."
She got out of his lap, and looked him dead in the eye.
"So... I stayed, even though you probably didn't want me to.."
Sesa looked back at her, his own orbs filled with agony and understanding.
"Taiga.."
"A-and I know you'll never forgive me for killing Kara. I know that... So I'll just leave now, and-"
Sesa interupted her with a hug, making her tense up.
"Taiga... Shut up."
She blinks, the tears welling up again before she sniffles, and cries yet again as she hugged him back.
But this time...
These tears were of joy, if accomplishment.
"You... You're wrong. I... I love you, ok? I just... No more killing. Period. And if you want to leave, then I can understand that. I'll even help you track down your parents so you can go home." He stated, rather quietly, as he refused to let her go.
Taiga sniffed and kissed him. Her smile was warm and sweet, like it was when she was a kit, or child for humans.
All her heartache, all her sorrow, was swept away by this man, this...
Hero...
So, in turn, she stated with a newfound courage,
"I am home."
