People
Charlie walked to school with Phoebe very close to him. They were both very cautious and took a different route altogether, school was the only safe place there was now. He tried to hide it but Charlie wanted to hunt the stalker down and catch whoever it was. Then maybe his sister would sleep better. Yes, he was the youngest but still he didn't need his big sister saving him all the time. The twins got up very early so they wouldn't be in the predictable schedule for the stalker. Charlie could see the surprised faces of their teachers as they strolled in, a full 20 minutes before the bell.
"Phew" he finally made out. "We're safe for now"
"Yes but.." Phoebe whispered "We'll be leaving school at the same time every day, that's when we'll be stalked"
"Okay, so we take a different route" The twins continued strolling until they reached their classroom.
"Who's that?" Charlie's sister noticed something different in their room as they walked in. It was a girl with long flowing black hair, her face was hidden as she was staring out of the window.
"Huh?" the voice startled as she turned to face the Avatars.
Voices had startled Hazel so she turned to see a girl with dirty blonde hair and brown eyes. The boy had gentle looking green eyes that shone in the sunlight and dark brown hair matching the girl's eyes. Hazel then reminded herself of "those people" and stared at the them with a blank face.
"Are.. are you lost?" the girl spoke
"No, I'm just new" Hazel replied blankly
"What's your name?...um if you...don't mind me asking" the boy stuttered. Hazel reconsidered her thoughts for a moment, the boy seemed as socially awkward as she was herself. The blond girl on the other hand seemed to be clingy to him, it was obvious they were a lovey-dovey couple. A shot of jealousy twanged at Hazel's stomach, but that didn't affect her blank stare. She was wrong about hi-
"My name's Charlie and this is my twin, Phoebe" he spoke with a smile. Well, this certainly changed things but Hazel wasn't interested in making friends.
"I do not need friends" she replied coldly, and walked away. That wasn't all true, Charlie had made Hazel's heart skip a beat but she dismissed it and walked to the toilets.
Lunch. Hazel sat by herself observing Charlie. Why did he make her feel this way? What was happening? She had seen this type of thing happen before in movies but they are only lies. Besides that boy could never like her, and she could never love him. She decided to go and sit on the roof and clear her mind. Hazel let the gentle breeze wash over her, taking all her thoughts away.
"It's nice up here" a voice brought the girl back to reality "The wind is like a soothing voice, trust it and you will have no worries" It was Phoebe, Charlie's sister, the odd thing was she had just said Hazel's exact thoughts.
"I'm sorry" she continued "You know, I used to be like you. Until yesterday when my brother and I made our first friend"
"You mean that Scott guy?" Hazel asked, trying not to sound surprised. Perhaps there was more to this blonde than meets the eye.
"Uh huh" Phoebe nodded "Before it just used to be me and Charlie against the world"
"Sounds nice"
"Why don't you join us? I mean being the only girl is hard, even though I am a tomboy!" she invited
"No"
When school ended Hazel was taking the same route as the twins. They walked as a threesome with Phoebe joking around with Charlie and telling Hazel amazing stories. They had to part ways and another day ended.
