Chapter 4: I'll pick you up when you are down

What the?! I rushed out of my bedroom door and the front door and made a bee line for the backyard and spotted Gryson laying there, motionless. Oh my Goodness. Is he dead?! I slowly walked to him and held his head in my hands. "Uh, Greyson...."I cooed. "Wake up. Wake up! C'mon, wake up!" I tried slapping him, but it was not working. I dragged him into my house and up the stairs to my room. Thank goodness my mom is working and my brother, sister and dad went fishing, otherwise they'd think I was raping him, or I murdered him or something!

I lay him down on my bed, and leave the room, shortly returning with a water bottle and towel. I shut the door and take the cap off of the bottle. I squeeze the bottle in his face and up and down his stomach. His eyes shot open, with concern.

"Wha-What?! What are you doing?!" He shouted.
        "Saving your life."
        "What? I wasn't dying!"
"You fell out that window. You could have died. I believe a thank you is in order..."
"You are the reason I almost died. YOU should thank ME."
        "How did I cause this?"
"There is a hornets nest outside your window. I was trying to tell you, but you were listening to music. So I leaned out of the window so you could hear me, and instead I fell."
"I am not scared of some stupid hornets nest."
        "Yeah, but you are allergic."

How did he know that? "How did you-"I started.

"We were in the same 4th grade class. On the first day, our teacher had us stand up, say our name and something about us. And you said you were allergic to hornets."

I was still shocked he remembered. "Oh, so you remember that, but you don't remember my name?" I asked, smiling.

"I'm sorry! I just... I hadn't talked to you, so I wouldn't make myself remember it. So the only memory I have of you is that you were allergic to hornets. Plus, there are a lot of people in my life who's names I have to remember. And yours hasn't been one of them since 4th grade."

I nodded," At least we know you aren't too badly injured, 'cause your word make sense." I said grabbing his cheeks in one hand and moving his head side to side, making him giggle. "So what is your name?" He asked.

I got up and walked to my window. Then quickly turned around and said, "Guess!" I flung the towel at him, and it landed on his face. He laughed and grabbed it and wiped his face with it. "Was I close with Amy?" He asked.

"They start with the same letter."
        "Okay, umm... Alison?"
        "Nope."
        "Hint please?"
I sighed," Fine. 6 letters, was in the King Arthor stories I think. It's really har-"
        "Avalon!"
"You got it! Someone's been reading this summer."
"Yeah, I'm actually pretty smart. I just don't let it on to anyone."
"That's stupid. If you got it flaunt it!"
We laughed. But his laugh turned into a wimper.

"Are you okay? Greyson?" I asked.
"I think I broke my wrist."
"Yeah, probably. You landed on it after a thirty-foot fall."
        And then, silence.

"Can we forget about earlier? And yesterday?" He asked.

I considered this. "Yes." Then I remembered the hornets nest still remaining outside of my window. "Will you help me get that hornets nest down?" I asked.

"Yeah, if you give me a non-wet shirt." He answered. I giggled, "I'll see what I can do."

I left to get one of my dad's shirts, and when I walked back in my room, I saw him standing there, shirtless.
"Uh....-"I said.
"Oh, thanks." He said grabbing the shirt. I just stood there frozen. I haven't exactly seen that many guys shirtless. Then he puts the shirt on and I was back in reality. "So, shall we get that hornets nest?" He asked, with a smile.

        "Yes."
