A Day At The Beach
I only had one more try. If I failed this time, I was giving up.I stood up on my board right as the waves crashed, which brought me all the way to shore.
"Yes! I finally learned how to surf!" I shouted.
"Good job Miley!" My friend, Tilly, said.
"Well, I guess it's time to go."
We headed back home. Tilly lives right across from me.
We live right by the beach, but I don't get to come often because I'm so busy with school.
But it's summer now!
As we were walking home, I saw something sparkling in the water. I picked it up.
"What's that?" Tilly asked.
"It's a necklace. I'm gonna keep it."
When I got home, I set the necklace on my night table.
"How was surfing?" Mom asked.
"It was good."
A few hours later, it was time for bed.
