New Comers

Surge's POV
That girl rushes into the kitchen. Bloody hell, I shouldn't have told her. She's probably trying to find a way to get out of here. Away from me. I'm a monster. Yet i'm surprised when she walks back in holding a bandage wrap.
"Found this in the kitchen" She mutters and starts wrapping my arm. I notice she's still pale. Still scared. "There!" She exclaimes one shes done. Her eyes meet mine and her smile fades slightly.
"Thanks" I mutter moving my arm away. Silence.
"So, what do we do now?"
"We?"
"Oh, well, I just thought since you know this place then you'd help me? Find my friends?" God damn her.
"Fine" Her eyes light up and her smile returns.

Sapphire's POV
After thanking Surge I decide to look around again but what really caught my eye was the window. Surge follows my gaze. The veiw was eerie, yet something about it was compelling. I start to become aware of something grey raising from around the forest of dead trees in the distence.
"Smoke!" I turn towards my friend who was already lost in thought.
"Lower class demons are to stupid to make fire" He trails off into mumbles as he stares at the grey fumes.
"Then it must be my friends! We have to go!"

Normal POV
For the first few minutes everything was tense. There seemed to be demons around every corner but Sapphire and Surge came in pretty handy with there powers. Things were a little too quiet between the two so Sapphire broke the silence.
"How come you were trapped beneath that load of junk ealier anyway?" She asks. Surge cast her a side glance before shrugging.
"Just woke up there, was a pretty rubbish time"
"Oh, that joke was trash" The two enter the forest and silence fall again. Suddenly Surge's arm shoots in front of Sapphire stopping her in her tracks. Sharing a glance the two hear a strange noise and look over to where it was coming from. Not even twenty feet away were was a small group of people who seem to be packing up their camp site. The two were lucky they hadn't been spotted yet. Surge try to drag Sapphire away from the group for safety but she takes a step foward.
"Sapph!" He hisses "Get back over here!" Too late. For some reason she runs towards the group. "Sapphire!" He yells chasing her, sadly not beind able to keep up. His shout attracts the attention of the people packing up. They growl prepeared to attack but as Sapphire gets closer they faulter as smile. Sapphire grins.
"Kameo? Jackie? Rose?"
"Sapphire? Is that you?" Jackie calls out.
"Yeah!" She hugs them all happy to know they're safe. Surge awkwardly just stands there taking intrest in the ground below him. Noticing him, Kameo smiles and nods to him.
"He with you?" She asks the blue grinning hedgehog. She giggeles and nods. "Whats your name?"
"Surge" The greetings start and stories are shared inbetween the friends/ Sapphire and Surge catch eachothers eye and smile. This was going to be a long journey.
