Thanatos Morsephtis

Name:  Thanatos “Seph” Morsephtis
Nickname(s): He holds various nicknames and titles but one nickname he commonly goes by is “Seph” despite it being part of his last name rather than his first.
Age: Unknown. It is presumed he is a few centuries old, or at least, experienced as Seph doesn’t really reveal his age.
Gender: Male.
Species: Demon
General Appearance: Thanatos has pale, smooth skin, as white as ivory or porcelain. His eyes are a bright red, with a cat-like or snake-like pupil. They are often gleaming with mischief. His hair is a  raven black, not wild but not completely tame either. Thanatos has a relatively lithe build but he’s stronger than he looks. People, however, may underestimate him due to his lean build and the fact that he’s shorter than average doesn’t help. Truthfully he’s not that short.
Personality: Thanatos is above all sadistic. He enjoys seeing others in pain and would be the type to prolong someone’s suffering and make them beg for mercy and/or death rather than a quick, painless kill. Thanatos is also the type to manipulate someone and toy with them whether it be physical, mentally or emotionally. He thrives off others suffering. The demon rarely lets his prey escape alive unless they amuse him in some way or form, but as soon as the prey is no longer entertaining, he won’t hesitate to kill them. Thanatos views life as a game and therefore won’t bother doing something unless it amuses him or there's something in it for him. Besides his strong sadistic streak, Thanatos acts fairly arrogant as expected. Despite his cocky attitude, he does not underestimate his enemies, but rather, may overestimate them. He is also able to go from flirty and arrogant to cold and distant in an instant depending on what you do. Thanatos is primarily a sadist but also has a masochistic side if triggered right. To those he is ‘friends’ with (though he rarely has any as he sees most as pawns in his game), expect teasing, mocking and sass and/or sarcastic comments. Even if he can be rude, Thanatos can still be polite and a gentleman. He’s a good actor and liar as well as sly and cunning, often being compared to a snake. He has a silver tongue and a sharp, witty mind to go with it.
Bio: The demon’s backstory is normal for a demon. His parents were strict and cold as expected but did not abuse him. His late father and mother, Aeron and Morana, taught him everything he needed to know. As a young demon, his parents had great expectations and that caused a lot of stress for Thanatos. It was most likely these expectations that may have caused Thanatos to grow distant and developing a sociopathic nature, that altered his personality to what it is today as it caused him to focus on studying and growing stronger rather than ‘making friends (allies)’. Regardless of what it is, despite the pressure, Thanatos maintained a ‘healthy’ relationship with his parents until their...unfortunate death leading to Thanatos inheriting the Morsephtis name and house, and the responsibilities and power that came with it. There have been doubts about the young demon inheriting the name as the sole heir. At first, many were dubious of Thanatos as he was considered inexperienced, too young, but he quickly showed his worth. Especially since there were speculations of what had actually happened in the tragic accident that led to Lord Aeron and Lady Morana’s deaths, and some rumours even said that they were planned by Thanatos but these rumours have all been denied. Whether or not they were true is up for debate but those who still had a seed of doubt would often keep it to themselves as the House of Morsephtis was not one to be trifled with.
Fear(s): Thanatos may or may not have fears but he wouldn’t be one to show them, much less admit them.  Such things were seen as weak, especially if they gave his enemies (and he has quite a few) a weakness to exploit. Truthfully, his main fears involve rejection and being ostracised, failing and loneliness.
Likes: Blood,  pain (mainly inflicting it on others), having power or dominance over others, playing games (psychological and actual games such as chess), snakes, foxes, reading, violence and much more.
Dislikes: Disobedience, being completely alone, rejection, failing...Just like his weaknesses and fears, he isn’t the type to show major dislikes.
Personality flaws: Where do I begin? Thanatos is slightly (or is) a sociopath and therefore does not get along well with others unless he acts. He’s often fake as he wears many masks, so many that sometimes he cannot discern which personality is fake and which one is truly him, he says that the personalities are all parts of him, and there are parts of him in all of the personalities. Thanatos has a hard time to trust others, and with his personalities and manipulative ways? People may often have a hard time truly trusting him too. Lying comes like second nature to him. Thanatos can also be overly sadistic which some people find as cruel or heartless. He is also relatively arrogant which many dislike. Thanatos is also possessive at times.
Physical Weaknesses: Thanatos is not the strongest for a demon, though he makes up for it in speed and intelligence (along with witty remarks.)
Mental Weaknesses: Thanatos likes to be in control of the situation. He’s stubborn. He may become irritated if someone shows that they have control of the event and not him. He has a possible superiority complex although it isn’t a god complex. He also does not like having his weaknesses or fears exploited nor does he like admitting them. He especially does not like being manipulated or ‘played at his own game’.
Strengths: His silver tongue helps him to manipulate others or charm them. His position as the current Lord of the Morsephtis house gives him relative respect among his peers, even if at times it’s the bare minimum. He is able to exploit others weaknesses.
Sexual Orientation: Many believe he’s asexual but he’s simply demisexual, most don’t try to get too close to him and the demons that do are either there in an attempt to seize the position and all so far have failed. Many others are fake or have to get along due to being allies or the like.
Relationship Status: Single
Family: Both of his parents are now deceased due to a certain incident. As he was the sole heir, he has no other siblings and any relatives he may have had, aren’t worth mentioning.
