Arc(tic) and Val

Name: Arctic (She says her parents weren’t very original at naming.)
Nickname(s): Arc (this is her preferred nickname), Ice Queen (this is the nickname Val often calls her in their playful banter.)
Age: 3 human years which is about the age of a young adult bordering on an adult in physical terms for a wolf, if I’m not mistaken, that is.
Gender: Female
Species: Arctic Wolf
Eye colour: Amber
General Appearance: Her pelt is primarily white, although there are a few cream specks. Arctic stands at about 3 ½ feet so physically, she isn’t the strongest. She holds various scars although most are faded from time. The most prominent one is a scar going through her left eye, and those that look closer would notice that her left eye is a slightly lighter shade than the right one.
Personality: Arctic above all, would consider herself a fighter. She isn’t one to willingly give up being very stubborn, even if she knows she will most likely lose, she’d prefer to fight until the end, this is also partly why she has so many scars. To those she first meets, she might come off as cold (hence the nickname Ice Queen) or rude but once she warms up to you, she’s a loyal friend and caring although she doesn’t always show or act like it, admitting that she cares for her friends is the last thing she’d do. If someone is in danger, especially one she cares about, she’d be the type to help regardless if she knew them or if she doesn’t particularly like them (to an extent). Although Arctic can be headstrong, she can be rather intelligent if the time calls for it, though this isn’t often.
Dreams, Ideals and Ambitions: Arc wouldn’t say it but her dream and ambitions are to go back in the wild. Honestly, she cares for Val, but she misses running through the frozen tundras, the cold wind ruffling her fur and the sense of freedom she felt, the freedom that was taken away once she was captured.
Fear(s): Tight and/or small spaces, pretty much claustrophobia (although she does her best to hide it and therefore just seems uncomfortable rather than full-out panicking), drowning (Arctic can swim but she prefers not to), losing those she cares about which is why she tries not to get too attached to some people.
Likes: Val, freedom, her friends, running, the cold, mostly solitude.
Dislikes: Being caged or having her freedom taken away from her, those who pick on the weak, liars, being told what to do (to an extent) and the heat.
Personality flaws: Arctic can be overly rude at times and may not always show those that she cares about, that she cares. Arctic is also quite stubborn and at this point in time, only Val can really convince her otherwise.
Physical Weaknesses: She is by far, the strongest physically and is, therefore, able to be overpowered by most. Even if someone is stronger than her, she still won’t give up.
Mental Weaknesses: She doesn’t try to make friends as she doesn’t want to get too attached, losing those that she cares about will most likely make her feel as if it’s her fault so and so happened.
Strengths: One of Arctic’s main advantage (and disadvantage) is her size. Some wolves tend to underestimate her which she uses to help her. Although she isn’t the strongest, she makes up for it in speed and stamina. Arctic is also quite determined and that determination has helped her in the past, and also lead to a few scars.
Family: She doesn’t remember her parents well but she considers Val a sibling figure and in a way, looks up to him (literally too considering Val’s size).

Name: Val
Nickname(s): Snow White (this is the name Arc gave Val in response to him calling the wolf Ice Queen in relation to the colour of his fur. It’s all playful banter though, none of it is meant to insult each other.)
Age: 5 in human years, about 11.43 in lion years, I think. (Sorry, animal ages is still confusing me.)
Gender: Male
Species: White lion, although it’s just a colour mutation of the Transvaal/Southeast African Lion.  
Eye colour: A pale blue almost light grey.
General Appearance: Val’s mane and fur are both varying shades of white.
Personality: Val is a pacifist at heart, but if necessary, he can and will fight. Even if he doesn’t enjoy fighting, he is a strong fighter though he prefers to use his strength to help others rather than hurt them. Val is generally a kind, caring and warm individual to all. He is loyal to his friends and an optimist, choosing to look at the bright sides of life rather than the dark. Due to this, some may say that Val is too trusting, or too merciful and forgiving, but he personally believes that everyone deserves a second chance. He rarely gets angry or loses his cool, and even when he does, he’ll most likely forgive the person at the end of the day, Val isn’t the type to spill blood unnecessarily. Val is generally easy-going and laid back, but despite how he acts, he is always on guard.
Dreams, Ideals and Ambitions: As foolish as it is, he dreams of a perfect world. Val knows it most likely won’t happen but hey, a lion can dream, right?
Fear(s): Failing those he cares about in any way, shape or form including letting them down or losing them. Val doesn’t really let most of his fears show.
Likes: Arctic, helping others, peace, watching the sun rise and set, going for peaceful walks and meeting new people.
Dislikes: Violence, those who hurt his friends and family, those who are cruel to others, bloodshed and fighting.
Personality flaws: He prefers fighting fairly, that is, if he fights, despite the fact that not everyone does so. Val can be too trusting to those who he considers friends, and too forgiving if one of those he considers friends backstabs him.
Family: He was taken to captivity at a young age and therefore doesn’t remember his parents. He considers Arc as a younger sister despite the species difference and can be overprotective, at times.
Other: Val is often the one to keep Arctic from doing overly reckless things.
