Arena Part 2

JAKE'S POV

I hated Sarah so much right now. I have to admit, she is really pretty, but right now I didn't care. She had probably been killed by the Area 1 people by now! "Whatever." I thought. "I can survive on my own."

CRYSTAL'S POV (regular pov)

I was laughing along with Lindsay and Rassor when the leaves rustled. Rassor told us to stay quite while he scouted ahead.

He disappeared into the woods and a cannon blew. "Area 6, boy." He said. "He had a dagger, Sarah, you can take it. You use knives, don't you?"

I quietly nodded. He tossed me the dagger and I added it to my knife pack.
I took a small sip of my water and we continued walking.

Suddenly two cannons went off one after the other. Lindsay stepped back. "Stay alert." She said. I nodded in silent agreement.

Nightfall was approaching, we made a small camp inside an underground cave and Rassor passed around some berries.

"Are these safe?" I asked. "Completely." He replied. I was about to eat them when I suddenly didn't feel hungry.

I gave my berries to Lindsay and laid down to sleep. "Don't eat the berries Sarah just gave you!" I heard Rassor say.

"But you gave them to her!" Lindsay replied. She tossed one of the berries into her mouth. There was a quite moment, then a cannon blew.

I sat up in alarm. Rassor had tried to poison me. It had backfired and now... Lindsay was dead. I threw a knife at Rassor when he wasn't looking.

A cannon blew again. The two Area 1 tributes where gone. There was music and the fallen ones where recognized.

The boy from 6, a girl from 4. Lindsay and Rassor too. I stepped out of the cave and found a better one. I felt so unsafe.

I fell asleep quickly, and dreamed about home. I wanted to win so bad, but two people of the same area could win, (according to the rules)

I guess I had to find Jake. I wasn't to pleased about that thought.
