Another Empty Socket!

The Beginning

“WAKE UP JANE OR YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE!” called James’s mom from the other end of the hallway! James quickly pushes himself out of bed and across his dimly lit bedroom! He goes into his dresser and grabs his outfit for the day! He locks his door and puts on his black chest binder! He pulls a trans pride flag t-shirt on over his head and slips a pair of blue jeans on over his black bike shorts! He rushes out of his room and into the kitchen! He grabs a banana and his backpack then quickly runs out the front door! As he is walking to the bus stop he spots a strange looking object taped to one of the trees in the woods! He walks up to it and spots that it is a piece of loose leaf paper that reads “HELP ME” in big black messy letters!

James thinks back to a movie he watched called to the ark where if you pick up one of these notes a tall slender creature would come after you and kill you! James says aloud “Nope not dying today!” he turns around and walks out of the woods! He continues his walk to the bus stop but out of the corner of his eye he sees a little boy without a bottom half to his body! James just pulls up his headphones up onto his ears and pulls out his ipod! He shuffles through the songs until he finds the song called the blue man by Madame Macabre! He pushes play and sings along to the lyrics! Before he knows it he is at the bus stop! But there is something wrong! His bus normally comes at 7:00! It’s 6:50 and he is the only person there!

The next song comes on. . .a song he doesn’t know! It’s by Madame Macabre. He could tell that before she started singing but it’s called painted smile. He shrugs it off and waits for the bus to come! After a few minutes the bus comes and he is still all alone! He steps onto the bus and takes a seat at the fire exit sign that’s painted to the window in bright red letters! His ipod changes the song to Boulevard of broken dreams by Green Day! He closes his eyes for a second before he hears someone ask “is this seat taken?” he shakes his head no and he feels someone sit down next to him!

He opens his eyes and pulls down his headphones to reveal a blond haired boy with two different colored eyes! The boy says “my name’s Alex!” James says “James” The bus gets to school and James walks to his locker! He goes to open his locker but someone put his lock on backwards with a little piece of paper taped to the back saying “LOSER!” James opens his locker and he gets to all of his classes on time! At the end of the day on his walk back from the bus stop he walks back into the woods to see if the note is there! The note is gone in its place is a tall black and red creature! The creature asks “how bad do you want to be a boy?” James says “I am a boy!” the creature snaps his fingers and the world goes black. . .end of chapter one
