Moving On
It's two years later. I haven't dated since Jake's death. I'm 18 now. I decide to give dating another shot when my best friend, Rosie, insists I let her set me up on a blind date. Jake wouldn't want me to dwell on his death for the rest of my life. He'd want me to be happy. So I agree to it.We meet at a fast food restaurant, a casual date. He introduces himself as Dylan. The date was successful. We have a lot in common.
A few dates later, I think I'm in love again. It has only been a few months, but the relationship is perfect. And that's when he does it. He proposes. If I told anyone I didn't cry, I'd be lying.
Our wedding was June 17. It was the happiest day of my life. Life couldn't get any better. We got a house and moved in together. It was perfect.
