Zodia

Zodia         “No. You can’t have a pet owl. Their loud and messy.” Aries replied to his lover, who was ogling over the animals in the pet shop. “You’ve said that about all the animals!” Leo exclaimed. “Well, I don’t want to be up all hours of the night!” Aries said, with a small chuckle. Leo leapt towards the ram, “We’ll find something small and quiet! I promise!” The lion pleaded. “Fine. Something quiet.” Aries said, walking away to look at a book store across the way. Leo looked around, looking for something that will suit both him and his lover. “Do you need anything your highness?” A brown and white fox asked. “No, no. Thank you though, Maryan.” Leo smiled. Maryan nodded, “What exactly are you looking for, your highness?” she inquired. Leo rolled his eyes as he spoke calmly, “First, I don’t like being called ‘your highness’. And second, something for companionship and quiet.” Maryan nodded, looking away in embarrassment, “Uh, sorry. But does it absolutely have to be an animal?” Maryan asked. “Well, uh, no.” Leo replied, looking towards the girl in curiosity. “Well, there’s a little girl, and you should totally adopt her!” Maryan cheered. “I’ll ask Aries!” Leo cheered back.
“AAAAARRRRRIIIIIEEEEEESSSSS!” Leo screeched, dragging a small girl behind him. Startled, Aries looked back. “I hope you found something quieter than you.” The ram chuckled. “We’re adopting this cute little girl!” Leo cheered, loudly. He moved the girl in front of him. She was a small yellow dog, her bangs covering one eye, while the one showing was hazel. Her short hair swayed in the breeze. Her tattered clothes dirty and coming apart. Aries looked at her and took her into his arms. “She’s freezing cold.” Aries said, wrapping his coat around him. “I know you’ve always wanted children...” Leo said, pulling both of them into a hug.

“TAURUS! COME BACK HERE!” Aquarius yelled, chasing the laughing bull. “NEVER!” Taurus shouted back, blood leaking out of his nose and a blush spread across his face. Held in front of the bull is pink, lacy undergarment. The fish quickly caught up to the bull, landing a firm kick in his hind-quarters, causing the bull to fall. Aquarius stood on the bull, “Now tell me. Why were you going through my drawers?” she asked, looking down at Taurus, dangerously. “Rhetorically or literally?” he replied. Stomping down on the bulls back, “Answer the question!” Aquarius yelled. Taurus yelped in pain, “Because I was bored!” “Will you ever go in my room again?” the fish growled, putting pressure on Taurus’s back. “No! Never!” Taurus cried out, tears spotting his eyes. In one swift motion, Aquarius took her foot off of the bull’s back and picked him up. The fish smiled brightly, “Good!” she chirped, as she turned and skipped off.
“Dang.... She’s scary.” a child’s voice called out, from behind Taurus. “No kidding, kiddo.” He said, still in pain. The little girl stretched her arms out, indicating she wanted to be picked up. Taurus lifted the child up and spoke calmly, “We still need to give you a name.” The little goat in his arms bounced in excitement, “Have I finally earned a name?” she asked, happiness ringing in her voice. The bull nodded, “Your name will be Capricorn, a reincarnation of your mother.” Taurus said, somewhat sad. “I will be named after mommy?” the young goat asked. “Yea, kiddo. You better live up to your name.” the bull said, pinching the child’s cheeks. Capricorn giggled, “What was mommy like? Please tell me, daddy!” the young goat plead. “She was a healer, but she was strong. She was sweet and kind. You act a lot like your mother, kid.” Taurus said.
