Help

"Run! To the pond!" Daddy ordered us. We ran and looked back at him. He was barking loudly, trying to get the truck to stop. It slowed, and he ran. But too late! His foot caught in the tire. As the truck drove past, his leg separated from the wheel, but he was hurt. He limped over to us. Mama licked his nose and I whimpered. "Are you okay, Daddy?" asked my sister, Luna. "I think I'm fine," he told us. But we all could tell he wasn't. His paw was bleeding badly, and he could barely walk.
He managed to make it to the pond and took a long drink. "What're we going to do?" asked Mama asked him. "You can't walk back to the shed with us," she continued. "How about we stay here for a while?" Daddy said. "Is it really safe?" asked Mama. Daddy didn't answer. He was busy licking his paw. Bone sat beside him, and the rest of us followed. We all fell asleep.
I had a weird dream that night. It was about a teenage girl I didn't know. She had long black hair and pretty green eyes. She was in a medium-sized house and seemed to be looking for something. The dream faded, and I woke up. It was the middle of the night, and everyone was still asleep. I settled back down and thought.
Maybe I was supposed to get to that girl. Was she looking for me? But then, how did she know me? I'd never seen her before, so she probably doesn't know I exist.
I must have fallen asleep again because in no time it was morning. I told Mama about the dream as soon as she woke up. She told me that most dogs have things called owners, and they take care of you. "Is that my owner?" I asked her. "Maybe," she said. "maybe." she got up and shook herself. "Let's try to figure out how to move your father."
"We'll need some help," I told her. Mama sighed. "Yes, I think we will," and she gathered my siblings. We talked for a while but had no ideas. "I think I know who can help," said Daddy. "Who?" Mama asked. Then she realized who it was. "Atlas!" "Who's Atlas?" Shadow asked. "Atlas is a good friend of mine and your father," she explained.
She ran off to find him. "Atlas lives just down this street," he explained. "She'll be back soon.
And she was! She had a large grey-and-white Husky following her. There was a plastic thing behind him (I think it's called a sled). He stopped in front of us. "Hello, pups. I'll help take your dad to the shed."
