We soon head down a trail to the north east, the bard tells us of an elvish city up in the direction, but of a powerful wizard to the west. I distrust the arcane side of magic, because it is made from man. "I vote city, we can find all sorts of people and not just a wizard, but probably three or four." Sarah voted with me, while Icthemus and Candii vote against. so we played shield,sword, scroll. It was the Sarah and Candii first. Candii went scroll, Sarah went shield and was out. Me and Icthemus went up next, we had two sets of draws then i came out when he picked sword and I picked shield. Then it was just me and the bard, She looked as if she was going for shield then as I go for scroll she changes to sword. So it was decided, we go to the probably Crazy old man.
As we are going along we start seeing the same things all over again, repetitively. So the bard casts some sort of spell and says "We are in a teleportation dome, a magic well, dome, that once you reach one side, it teleports you to the direct opposite side." "Well that's annoying," I say "but we best get some rest, and try again tomorrow." We set camp for the night and set up a watch structure. I am 3rd watch, and I can tell you, it was a challenge.
I was halfway through the watch when a troll appears in the camp. "You give Grunch 40 gold. Or you be smooshed, and friends, roasted for yums." I draw my longsword, and I say, "Face me first if you want my friends." and charge at the beast. He was faster than expected, for i just nicked him with my blade. When I try and follow through, he clips me on the back with his club, i cut to the right and slice his hamstring. He circles around on me and tries to take my head off with that massive club of his, but it bounces off my Armour and I stab him in the groin. He doubles over and I crash my sword into his skull. I then get the loot from his body and continue on my watch.
