Him, Her, Me & Lies

She was standing there & had her head down
I thought she was upset to hear this from
Her own friend
It would be heartbreaking to know that you & your friend love the same person.
"Really?" She smiled brightly .
I didn't expect her to smile at this time
She's just continuing to wear that mask
I thought
"I knew it" she glared at me suddenly
I couldn't tell what she was thinking.
She was smiling, glaring, turning back
What's wrong with her? Is she upset? But it didn't look like she was hurt.




"But see...
I love him more than you do. So you better back off" she pushed me
I couldn't control my anger & screamed
"nonsense! I loved him since we were kids. You don't understand..." I cried.
"Oh really?? But as you can see ..I am the closer to him. At least I made things like that". She grinned
"Don't tell me.. you are the one who added something in my food?! You could just not invite me or directly make a chit that has your previous number & his no. ?? Why did you do that like those dramatic television teenage show villian. ?? " I shouted
"Yes I did. Why do people watch those kind of shows? Because it is interesting right?? That's why. I thought this would be fun. You would blame your poor fate & feel miserable. And if I didn't invite you you would see our kiss..well almost a kiss..oh I said it " she giggled
"I won't let you take him away...you see". I ran away from there

didn't want to go to school the next day

But had to go as I had tests
She has crossed her limits
The whole day she was looking at him, clinging on him, she looked at me , again continued to talk something then told setting in his ear, both looked at me & began laughing
This was repeating
Makoto started to stare
We were not so close
But before few months we talked, as we were in same group
We also participated in a quiz
We had lots of fun
But as friends.
Now Makoto doesn't talk to me at all anymore
He is with her...Michiko all the time
And with Michiko being there, I can't talk to him.





And Michiko stopped talking to me and made a new best friend . She was popular like her. She is clover.
We were classmates in middle School
And I hated her
I told Michiko about her & I bet she would have told all the things I told about clover to her
Well but they both make a good team

It's been a year and we haven't talked at all
She and Makoto are getting closer
& I'm watching all this from the back

I heard that Michiko told Makoto my secret..that I love him
That's why he was acting so strange
To become friends with him once more
I went to him personally & said
"Can I talk with you for a second?"
"Um..sure?"
"About the rumors..." I began
"Which rumors?"
"Rumors saying I love you"
"Oh.." he looked away a and stopped giving eye contact
"Yeah those are not at all true. I do like you but not love. I just made up to make Michiko jealous. That's all" I lied and ran away
I didn't see his reaction .

I was too nervous for that

After that I and Makoto began to talk a little bit more than before
Finally
At least like a friend I can

I guess Makoto didn't tell Michiko about that
As she was glaring at us the whole time

We were casually having a simple talk then as it was last year of high school we were talking about our future
I said I wanted to become a singer
Let wanted to become a singer too
And it seems that after the exams he was going to perform in an audition in Europe
Which was so far from here
I was feeling bad
We both exchanged our numbers and promised to keep contact with each other.

After 5 months

It was a big relief . Exams have finally finished. I didn't do very great but it's better than last time

I and Hana met each other in a mall & started having a great chat. And again planned to meet here in the evening

I went to Jade's house and requested her to have fun with me & Hana
"Don't bee stupid . Of course I'd come" she hugged me
I felt so happy
This hug wasn't like what Michiko gave me
It was more warmer.
I felt her like a great friend who would support me anytime.

We had super fun & surprisingly saw Makoto in the Mall
He said as he was going to abroad tommorow he wanted to buy good clothes and some other things got travel.
We shopped together.
I wsihed he never went so far way
i wanted to buy something for him..that he can treasure forever
I bought a Little key chain with a Chibi anime idol character.
I wanted to gift him that and in the counter he saw me asking to giftwrap an item





"Giftwrap?" Makoto asked
"Yeah.."
"for whom?" he asked curiously
"Uh..for ..my.. b-boy friend!" i stammered
"You have one?!?" Hana exclaimed
"Uhh he c-confessed me yesterday. i dont love him but i accepted because i didnt want him to get hurt.. i mean i dont hate him either-" i made up a lie
"That's an awkward reltionship..i think you shouldnt accept if you dont love him. i mean .. wouldnt it be awkward later?" he said concernly
"Haha.." i faked a laugh
Deep inside i was so mad about myself!!




I think i'll hate myself even more than i hate That Michiko

After saying goodbye to Makoto and wishing him good luck. He fastly got into a cab as he was getting late. he has to pack his bag & leave to airport by & he should board by 4:30
I couldnt become someone special to him
but i could atleast give him something
then i shouted by his name
"MAKOTO!!"
he turned back despite of getting late
i rushed to him & gave him that  key chain

"isnt it for you-"
i kept my finger on his mouth & said
"Dont worry..it is only for you..that guy is worthless. Take it as a gift from your..um classmate?" i smiled
"thanks" he waved goodbye




It was 6:30 pm

Makoto must be in the flight by now. I went to buy some groceries for dinner . And there i saw her,,,,

She waved and said "Hi!" like nothing happened
"Um hi.." i said
She looked disappointed & began to cry
"What happened??"
I asked as tears flowed down her eyes.
did she realise her mistake?
maybe not..
"M-Makoto.." she howled
"What..." did things go wrong? did they break up? i wondered
"Makoto's flight crashed..." she whispered into my ears
i couldnt belive
"stop jo-"
"it's not a joke" she continued
she blinked her tears & ran off befoe i could say something
i fell on my knees
and hoped it was a horrible dream
