Redik's arc - Chapter 1:A kind demon

Redik's POV
I walked trough the woods, searching for my friends.It's five days now that I'm here.This woods seems to be endless.
I couldn't leave the feeling of be observed, so I often turned back to see if someone was following me,but every time I turned no one was there.
It is getting colder and colder, I don't know if I'll go out of here alive...It is like this place is taking all the hopes out of my mind...
I can't think...it's too...cold...I'm getting tired...I have to find a place where rest in...I fainted.
I woke up...I was in a cave, with a fire...
Who took me here?...Who cares. I'm in a warm place, that's all. Who knows how are the others.
"Finally you're awaken" An old grey fox came close to me.
"Who are you?"
"The one who took you here my boy." He was hunched by the age, but I saw in his brown eyes a young spirit .
"Thanks a lot..."
"You can call me Bard"
"Bard...thanks a lot"
"Thank me when I'll take you to my house.It's not far from here."
Then he looked out of the cave, and motioned me to follow him.
We walked for about an hour, and then I saw a little wood house, with a smoky chimney.
"Ooh-ooh, we're lucky, the old lady has put on the kettle." Bard exclaimed.
"The old lady?"
"Yes, my wife. We live with our granddaughter. She's a lovely girl, you'll like her."
"Eheh..." What is this old fox trying to do...
We entered, and received a very warm welcome...
"Bard know, if you were again hanging out with Badge you..."Like her husband, she had the youth in her eyes." But...this is not Badge..."
"My dear, this is..."
"Redik, nice to meet you."
"I found him fainted in the middle of the woods, so I took this young boy here."
"You stupid,you should have warned me, I would prepared myself."
"If this would do the work eheh. Anyway, where is Hino?"
"She is in her room, listening music.But now lets think about you Redik, you must be hungry."
"Yes, I am, but I don't want to bother you mrs..."
"Don't worry, and call me Rosie. Well,lets put some food in this strong young." In the meantime Bard was calling Hino from the downstairs.
Why am I feeling so strange...maybe is Rosie...
A voice came from the upper floor "What is it grandpa? You need help?" Then a young fox girl came down the stairs.
I remained there, unable to move or speak.
She had the fur of gold, and the eyes of ruby.She was the most beautiful thing I saw in my life.
"Hino, my dear, I want to introduce you Redik."
She took a look at me, because I wasn't moving.
"...Aaaand now I leave you two alone. Rosie, What's for dinner?" He left me with Hino...alone...
But, how can he leave his granddaughter alone with a stranger?If I was a bad guy who knows what I could do to her!
I blushed "...Hi...I-I'm Redik..."What is this feeling? Why am I so shy now?
"Hi, I'm Hino.You're turning red,You're sick?"She put a hand on my forehead.
"N-n-no...I'm not sick..."
"Thank god..."She started to dangle "So...why are you here?"
"Huh? Oh,well..."
"The dinner is ready!"
The food was very good, Rosie was a good cook.
"So young, what were you doing in the woods?"
I explained my situation to them, but I couldn't stop watching Hino for some reason...
"Well, fortunately Eggman did not arrive here, or you could be in a very bad situation."
"Yeah...Thank you Bard for taking me here, and thank you Rosie for the dinner, it was delicious."
"Where are you going?"
"To search my friends"
"But there is a storm right now..."
"Hino is right, you can't go out now.You'll stay here until the storm ends."
The think of being with them...but they're right.
"Ok,I'll stay."
"Splendid, and you will share the room with Hino."Smiled Bard.
"BARD!"
"What?It's the only room with enough space."
"Ehm...I can stay on the sofa if..."But they weren't listening.
In the end I had to share the room with Hino...

Later, that night
"...Redik, can I ask you something?"
"Yes,of course."
"Why were you...staring me?"
"Eh?W-well, b-because you're cu-cute..."
"...Thanks..."
"It's better if we sleep now...no?"
"Only another thing...please..."
"OK..."
"Sorry if I ask this but, what are you, exactly?"
I turned to her "What do you mean?I'm a hedgehog."
"But I see another thing...a devil inside you..."
"You can see it?"
"Yes...I can see the true in people's heart,like feelings and what they really are."
"...Ok,ok ok ok. I'm not completely a hedgehog. To make it short, I'm a demon,lets say so. But I don't want to hurt you or your family, I swear."
"You're...a demon...but you're good..." She smiled "You're a kind demon so."
A kind...demon?
"...You...are fine if I sleep...in your arms?I never tried it...and...I know I can...trust you so..."She was red...so cute...
"O-ok...if you want..."
She snuggled in my arms, and I hugged her...It was strange...but it felt good. Her soft tail covered my legs...it was like a warm cloud...
I could feel her heart,it was running, just like mine.Maybe...this strange thing I was feeling...she certainly saw it,but maybe she was feeling it too...
We felt asleep like that, and that night I dreamed her.
