Forgotten Memories

A/N:

Hello, world!!! Okay I know this is an early update but I changed my schedule. I will be updating every Tuesday and Thursday to cut some agitation that I know some people get because hey I also read fanfiction.  So please enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!<3<3 :)


Reader's POV:

"LET ME GO!" I yelled.

It all happened so fast. I was in Jane's room talking to her and Clockwork but then that thing came in. It was a shadow with red eyes it was horrible. That thing scratched out Clockwork's clockeye and pulled out a lock of Jane's hair off. They tried to fight it but they failed.

The monster was carrying me like I was a piece of wood. I kicked and screamed trying to get out of this monster's arms but it was no use.  I'm so angry. My anger is boiling up inside of me, I just wanted to kill it.

"Where are you taking me?!"

No answer...

I closed my eyes and felt my heart beat faster and faster. I opened them and looked down at my hands they glowed with a red light and I smiled menacingly. I have powers and I'm going to use them on this son of a gun.

I put my hands on his back and the creature howled in pain and threw me.

I quickly get up and see it charging towards me. I laugh and run towards it. It jumps and I jump towards it The light in my hand's changes to an orange glow. I then shoot it out towards it and the creature falls to the ground. It turns to ash and disappears into the ground.

I look down at my hands and laugh. "I can't believe I have powers!!!" I yell.

I then ran back to the house to inform the guys that I was okay and to tell them about my ability.


Toby's POV.

This can't be happening. No No this can't be happening. I muttered as I paced in the living room.

The monster that took her was from the underworld. Zalgo's minion.

Everyone was in here and talking about what we should do.

"Why would they take her?" Jeff asked.
"I know, what did she have or do?" replied LJ.

I tried to think about what could've been his motive but I was stumped. We were waiting for Slenderman to come over but there was no sign of him yet.

"We should go find her."
"How Sally? We have nowhere to look or think where that thing took her!"
"LJ chill, she's the one of the youngest here."
"Oh, shut up Masky, Like you even care."
"Well, w-we need to do som-mething other than argue."
"Like what Toby? You saw what happened to Jane and Clockwork."
"She's go-onna die if we don't g-go and get her, you all kn-now that."

Zalgo was a pain to all of us. We all feared him. I hated myself not being there for her.  We were waiting in the living room for Slenderman and BEN to return since BEN was doing some research on her.

"I have some news about (y/n)." Slenderman said as he walked in.
"Okay, wh-hat is it?" I asked.
"BEN looked at her files and we saw some interesting topics about her."
There was a silence and he continued.

"When she was four years of age she started to have some supernatural experiences with herself. She started to show her parents her powers and they sent her away to a mental hospital that worked with the government for kids with special gifts. She stayed there for two years then got out and while she was there she learned to control it and to work while in combat."
"So, Zalgo wants her because she has superpowers?" Asked Hoodie.
"Yes."

Why didn't she tell me? Why (y/n)?

"Why didn't s-she say any-ything to us?"
"She didn't say anything because after she got out she went into a coma and forgot about what happened over the years."
"Is there a cha-ance that she could at least rem-member what hap-ppened to fight off the sh-hadow?" I asked.
"Yes."
"But how? She doesn't remember how to work her abilities." said Masky.
"She can it's, it's all in her heartbeat. Her heartbeat is the source of her power."


Reader's POV.


The walk towards the house was a breeze but, I had missing memories flowing into my brain. One is about me in this hospital and I'm sitting down in on a bed in a white room. A guy in a suit comes over to me a gives me a cup of juice only that it tastes salty and bitter so I spit it out. He looks at me and gets a metal stick from his pocket. I stare at it as he presses a button and the tip of it lights up. I remember gazing at it in awe think he was going to do a magic trick but instead, he shocks me with it uncountable times. Once he left I laid there in my bed crying.

Why was I there? Was it because I was like this? Why didn't I know this? What's wrong with me?

I'm so lost that I cry. My tears fall down and I get another burning sensation on my wrist again. I look at it and I see symbol forming on my skin. I keep walking forward until I see a light. I come close to it and it's the house I give a sigh of relief and walk up to the door. I get close and I here yelling.  I open up the door and see the group of CPs in the living room talking about something. I walked in and made the floor creak and everyone faced me.

"Hey guys, umm, I'm back."

Toby was one of the first to get up. As he did he ran towards me and gave me a hug. Do I love him or not? I asked myself as he pulled away.

"I have some news about me I have powers."
"We kn-now we loo-oked at your file."  
"Oh, not creepy at all," I said walking towards the others. "What did you see?"
"You were in a hospital that was hidden by the government because of your abilities and after you did your time there you slipped into a coma and forgot part of your memories from their." Answered Masky
"Well, I'm getting the memories back now and they're -" I couldn't finish. That place was hell. Why couldn't my family approve of what I had? Did they even love at that time? I was embarrassed about crying in front of everyone that I went back outside. I heard someone following me but I didn't look back.

"(y/n), wait please."

I turn around and it's Masky.

"What?"
"You shouldn't be ashamed of it. Your powers, I mean."
I scoffed at his remark.
"You know Toby really cares about you."
"I know."
"He'll help you like the rest of us."
"What if I hurt somebody?"
"You won't hurt anyone," I turned to him," like you said my memories are coming back."
"Yeah, bit by bit, it's gonna take time."
"Well, we'll all be here for you."

We both stood in silence in the dark. I don't want to hurt anyone even though my memories are coming back. How long would that take me, forever? No, no don't think like that (y/n). Be positive. I'm living with these amazing people who care about you. I should just trust these people who took me in and don't care that  I'm weird like this. Just breathe and go with him.

I walked toward him and gave him a hug and he returned it.

"I think we should get back they probably want us back by now." He said once we pulled away. I could tell he was blushing underneath his mask.
"Yeah, okay."

TIME SKIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I showered in Toby's bathroom and it was a long warm shower. I couldn't believe that I had this and I couldn't believe that this devil wanted me too. Why am I property to people?

Once I go out Toby was already walking in the room.

"H-hey"
"Hey," I said in return.
"You doing okay?"

No, Toby, I'm not. I just found out that I have powers and that in the past I was hospitalized for having and while I was there I was treated like an experiment!!! Also, above all that there's a demon out to get me so NO! I wanted to yell at him for asking me that but I knew better.

"Yeah, I'm, fine."

He went to the bathroom and I sat on his bed. Once he came out I quickly stood up.

"Toby, can I sleep with you tonight?"
"Ye-eah, sure if you want."


I crawled into the bed as he walked over to turn off the light. He then came over and laid down with me. I snuggled into his arms and I felt his heartbeat beating on his chest. I looked at him and he looked at me.

"What did that ki-iss mean the ot-ther night?" he asked me.
"It meant that I was grateful for what you did to make me feel safe."

He laughed a little bit.

"What?"
"Aft-ter I killed hi-im I was going to say sorry but you kis-ssed me."
"Was that wrong?"
"Hehe no. Well, may-ybe a little."
"Oh, screw you."
"Alrea-edy am. Anyways what did th-hat kiss mean?"
"It means that I love you. That I will never leave you. I will fight and die for you and keep you safe."
"I'll do the s-same for you (y/n)."
"I love you, Toby."
"I love you (y/n)."

I kissed him on his lips and he pushed in making the kiss deepen. We pulled away and I snuggled closer to him. He kissed my head and started to stroke my hair. My feelings weren't all jumbled up anymore but, I was still scared. Scared that I might end up losing him.
