Saving the Sun (My POV)

Saving the Sun (My POV)
I stumbled into my room and the door to the void disappeared. I sighed. Well this was just great, I put Violet on my bed and took a moment to think. I had to figure out a way to fix this. I normally would draw it out but that may even make it worse, but it was worth a shot. I grabbed my sketchpad and several pencils and sat on the floor. Flipping to a new page I began to sketch, I wanted to make it manageable but i couldn't fix it all at once. Once i was done most of the cracks have vanished except a few on her face, I'd fix those later but at least she looked better. I took my coffee and took a sip from it. I really was gonna do this, save everyone i could remember. Better than the alternative but still dangerous like i said the void is where everyone slowly dies. I would be lying if I said I wouldn't be affected by it. I may be the actual person but i could still loose aspects of myself to the void. I took another sip and looked at the girl that lay on my bed. She looked better but i still felt a twinge of guilt. How had i managed to forget her?
After a while she sat up, sat up a little too quickly. "Hey be careful!" I told her as i got up. "You just got back... You're still weak V," V sighed. "Yeah i know, but-" I smiled a little, still stubborn. "No buts V," I said. "You gotta rest and besides, it may take some time for you to adapt to your new form." She gave me a slightly confused look."What do you mean?" I laughed awkwardly. "Well... I kinda had to save you before you turned to dust in the void." She didn't seem to understand so I explained it to her how the void where people and dreams die yada, yada, yada. She looked upset about the forgetting part but she kept calm.
"So you forgot me?" she asked her newly pine green eyes darting away. I didn't know how to respond in a way that wouldn't upset her but at this point I guess I didn't care. "Yeah, but it happens all the time.." V huffed harshly. "Yeah i guess.." I sighed. "But anyways, I swore  I'd save everyone... Next up we have the Sun," V looked at me bitterly. "Sunny?" I shrugged. "Yeah.. Honestly I did promise Id fix the broken world but the door is shut off, somehow.." Violet sighs and lays back down. "Well that's just great," She told me as she turned to the wall. "Ill sleep until then because your gonna do your job right," I rolled my eyes. "If you say so V, Stay here though and DON'T you even think about getting up," I opened the door and stepped out the door.
That night I returned to see she was still asleep, didn't think she could sleep that long. I shook her shoulder and she woke up, muttering a few words. "Whats up?" she grumbled sleepily. "You coming to make sure i do my job right or not V?" I asked irritated. "We're getting her back already?" I rolled my eyes. "Its eleven-thirty at night V what do you think?" She rolled over, her light purple bangs covering her eyes. "Its time to sleep... wait what's your name?" How could she not remember my name? I guess the void made sure she couldn't remember much. I sighed. "Call me... Sam or Strange even" I said, putting a blue coat on. I heard the springs of my bed creak as she sat up and stretched. " I like Sam better" She yawned. I smiled  slightly and handed her a black jacket. "Its a little cold, but its manageable." I told her as she took the jacket. Once she put it on the door reappeared. "You ready?" I asked her. "No but lets get this done." She said grabbing my hand and opening the door. We both jumped in as the door slammed behind us. Once again we were free falling, and I was screaming. "Oh shush!" Violet said as she landed first and practically caught me. I scowled. "Kinda hard when I fear death by falling," Violet would have smiled if i could see her. "Lets just go find her" She said dropping me and walking over me. I got up and followed her.
We walked around for what seemed like forever until we came across a girl with hair that was once bright orange hair now a faded auburn, she sat upright unlike Violet when I found her first. She looked up at us and scowled. "Go away, leave me alone" she hissed. I narrowed my eyes. "Sunny we're here to help you, you dunce." She shook her head. "No, I dont need YOUR help." she growled. I looked to Violet. "Can we just leave her here?" I asked. Violet gave me an offended look. "You said you were gonna help Sam!" She exclaims angrily. I sighed. "You're right, you're right..." I murmured. "Look Im really sorry Sunny," Violet says with a small smile as she approached the small girl. Sunny mumbled something under her breath and she scooted backwards. Violet took a big step and picked the girl up and slung her over her shoulder. Sunny flailed and cursed like a sailor. "Lemme go you-" I shook my head. "Lets go Sam," Violet told me. "You gotta fix this," she said as she started walking. I followed after about a minute or two.
We walked through the door and it disappeared once again. Violet still held the flailing child, Violet was pretty tough i had to say. I grabbed my sketchpad and hastily drew an image of a girl with short red hair and with angry but beautiful eyes. I smiled once I was done and looked up to see Sunny was different than when I left her. I smiled and looked back at my work. Worked instantly, well almost.. "Thats two down" I thought quietly. "only...four more i believe"
