Ch. 2

Yui stared out her window. It's been half a year since she started living with her "uncle". A gentle knock is given from her door. She turns her head to see Kakashi. A smile crept to her face.
"Yui, beings you don't speak much, I got you a notepad. That way you can still communicate." Kakashi says, handing her the notepad.
    "Thank you, Kakashi!"
"No problem. Also, I'm gonna teach you some things. You can use them for self - defense."
He waved her over, while walking away. Yui chased after him. She followed him to a wooded part of the village. He stopped and turned to face Yui. She gives him a look of curiousity.
"Alright, Yui. I'm gonna teach you how to climbs a tree without your hands." He tells her.
    "Eh?" She asks.
He makes a hand sign. Then he walks up the side of the tree. Yui is both amazed and shocked. She tried to make the same hand sign. She placed one foot on a tree. One step at a time, she eventually gets to a high branch. She sat on it. Kakashi looks up at her, shocked. How did she do it so easily? She's only four! Yui giggles at him. She jumps down, landing on her feet. She writes in her notepad. It reads, nailed it! Kakashi gives a quiet chuckle.

*To Kaito and Asuma!*
Asuma gives Kaito a Kunai. Kaito looks at it, dumbfounded. Why did Asuma give this to him? Asuma then takes another one and throws it at the wooden pole. Kaito looks up, understanding what Asuma wanted. He threw it at the wooden pole. The Kunai was lodged halfway through the pole. Asuma's surprised of this kid's strength. The kid's only five!

*Back to Yui and Kakashi*
Yui held the Kunai careful not to cut herself. Kakashi watched carefully to see what she would do. She threw it away from her. She ran behind Kakashi. He looked at her in disbelief. You would think she'd swing it around, not throw it away. She wrote in her not pad. It reads: 'Weapons are terrible things! Teach me hand to hand combat, instead.' Kakashi was surprised of her vocabulary. She IS four. He felt her trmbling as she grasped his shirt. He went down to her level.
"Did the person who hurt your mother use a knife or such?" He asked carefully.
Yui nodded. With a sigh he runs to retrieve the kunai on the ground. Who woulda thought seeing someone killed would make people afraid of sharp objects. Yui walk to a tree and punched it. Bad idea... She ran around screaming in pain. Kakashi picked her up. She glared at the tree, her cheeks like bubbles. Stupid tree, she thought. Kakashi held back a laugh. She kicked his chin. He gently flicked her nose.
"That was uncalled for. I guess I can get someone to teach you taijutsu..." he says as he places Yui down.
Kakashi thoght of Guy. It might be good... or bad. He told Yui to stay home. He heads to the shopping area. He walk by a small stuffed animal. A tiger to be exact. He thought Yui would enjoy it. Jeez, he's turning into either an older brother or father. He kept walking, with the stuffed animal in a bag. He collided with someone. A certain, ANNOYING someone. It was none other than Guy.
"Hey, Kakashi! I hear you're taking care of a little kid!" Guy says enthusiastically as usual.
"Yes, your point?" Kakashi states nonchalantly.
"What do ya mean, 'your point'? What's the kid like!?"
"Hm... She's a sensitive, kind, stubborn girl. Quite strong for a four year old... It's like she's my sister or daughter."
"A girl is living with you!? I never thought you could do that."
"I have a favor to ask."
"Who the h*** are you and what did you do to Kakashi!?"
"Ha, ha. Very funny, Guy. But seriously, can you teach her taijutsu?"
Guy stares at his rival. Is Kakashi sick or drunk or somethin'? He then does a super cheesy smile.
"Of course, I will!" He says dramatically.
Kakashi motions for Guy to follow. The men arrive at Kakashi's house. Kakashi opens the door and water falls on his head. He stares wide eyed. Yui jump from her room, running at Kakashi, laughing. She hands him a towel. Guy stares down at the brown haired girl. She's so damn cute, he thinks. Yui looks up at the man Kakashi had with him. She started to giggle. The eyebrows!
"Kakashi, she's so freaking cute!" He squeals like a fangirl.
Guy went to hug the small girl. She kicks him, causing Guy to fall. He's shocked of her outstanding strength. So this what I'm dealing with, Guy thought. She glared at Guy, her cheeks slightly puffed.
"Yui!" Kakashi says in an angered manner.
Yui kicked at nothing. So she's obviously strong, Guy thinks, so Kakashi wants me to teach her to channel that strength using taijutsu.
"Yui, this is Guy. He's gonna teach you taijutsu." Kakashi explains.
     'What's taijutsu?' Yui writes bluntly.
"The art of taking your chakra and using it for physical combat." Guy explains.
"You know she's four, right?" Kakashi asks thinking Guy is stupid.
'What's chakra, Mr. Guy?' Yiu writes.
"Chakra is your spiritual energy and physical energy so you can use it for jutsus." Guy explains.
'What are the kinds of jutsus?'
"There's taijutsu. Another is Genjutsu. That's like an illusion maker. There's also Ninjutsu, which is kinda like genjutsu. There are gekki genkai, which flows through the blood of clan members."
'Does that mean I have it?'
    "I'm not sure Yui. That's a maybe."
Yui remembers the scrolls her mother left for them. She ran to her room to retrieve them. Guy was dumbfounded, did she hate him or something. She returned with scrolls and handed them to Guy and Kakashi. Both men were shocked. How did this little girl get these?

*once again to Kaito and Asuma*
It took Asuma half an hour to pry the kunai Kaito threw at the pole out. Kaito was in his room staring at his handcrafted wooden weapons, his name engraved. He knew these to were weapons of ninja. He did always want to be a ninja. Asuma walks in.
     "Hey, kid." He says.
"..." Kaito was in deep thought.
     "I'm talkin' to you, Kaito!"
    "..."
Asuma walks over and hits Kaito yelling, " F***ING LISTEN TO ME! DON'T PRETEND I DON'T F***ING EXSIST!"
"OW, YOU JERK. I WAS THINKING ABOUT THINGS! DON'T HIT ME WITHOUT A REASON!"
Asuma grabs Kaito's hand and puts paper in it. Kaito stares at it dumbfounded.
"What the heck is this for, Asuma-san?" Kaito asks.
"This is an exersize. Write one word on those three pages. One of something or someone important. Another of your current mood and the last as an animal. Got it, kid?" Asuma explains.
"Stop calling me kid. My name is Kaito. And sure, I'll do your stupid excersize..."
One the first page he wrote his sister's name. The second page he wrote sadness. The third, he wrote tiger.
    "Now rip them in half."
So Kaito did. Asuma took it from him. He ripped it in half again. What is this guy doin', Kaito thought. Asuma handed Kaito the 18 pieces.
"Now put the paper to make a picture" asuma states.
"HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THAT!?" He yells in disbelief.
"Just put the pieces together into one large piece of paper. Then tell me what you see."
Kaito did as told. When his saw the picture he started to tremble.
"Uncle killing Mama... My village... b-buring up... sister... c-crying..." he mumbled.
Asuma then knew why this kid didn't trust anyone. A man killed his mother and burned his village away. He can't help but feel bad.
"Ya know what? We're gonna go to a ramen stand. How 'bout it, kid?" He tried to change the subject.
Kaito nodded. As they walked, Asuma tried to find a way to get Kaito to trust him.

What Kakashi and Asuma think: Kids are one hell of a hand full!
