Chapter 24 - Just Another Day
The next day, Skittle walked out from her French class with Miss Foggerty. She was having English next, just as she had done on her first day of high school. She made her way to the English classroom and wondered if Mr Winter was thinking about her and how amazing she was. She went inside and sat in her seat.Mr Winter was already in the classroom waiting for everyone to come in. He saw Skittle and winked at her.
"Hello, everyone. I'm going to do the register." he said.
Mr Winter proceeded to do the register while Skittle had to deal with the boys on her table.
"Skittle, why do you have such a silly name?" one of them asked her, laughing.
Skittle ignored the question and started to daydream.
"Hello? Anybody in there?" the boy said.
Skittle thought that he was beginning to sound a lot like Casper, so she ignored him even more.
Skittle looked in her English book and saw a comment under her last piece of work.
"Great work, you're very talented." she read aloud, and she couldn't help smiling.
Then Mr Winter went up to the front of the class and wrote some questions on the whiteboard for the class to answer. Skittle got started straight away as usual, while Emma glared at her and shook her head.
In five minutes, Skittle had completed all of the questions. Mr Winter saw this, and he stuck a gold star sticker in her book next to her work. Emma glared at her again, but Skittle couldn't care less.

But I don't think you've seen the wall post about what happened on the trip. It was absolutely horrible. The teacher brought 20 other people on the trip who hadn't done anything at all. On the way there in the coach, I was forced to sit in a spare seat in a cramped area next to the door, and everyone else got proper seats, even though I was the See More only reason they were on the trip. I kept having panic attacks on the coach because I got really claustrophobic. And when we got there, the whole thing was just listening to authors talk about their books for three hours. It was so boring, and at the end of it, the teacher didn't even let us meet any authors. When someone asked the teacher if we were going to meet them, the teacher told them not to be stupid, even though it specifically said on the letter we were given that we got to meet all of the authors. And we got back to school just after lunch, when the teacher had said that the trip lasted all day.
I was so angry. . . :/
