Innocence claimed but...

Furry had done a good job of getting Cyan and Blue into the storage area. I pulled down the heavy lever in the storage area. As the junk from O2 was released I felt a shift in the energy from the five of us. Cyan sighed relieved. “Good to see your clear…” He muttered. Blue nodded. “Yeah! Now we can stick together right?” Cyan sighed. “No, not yet Chas. It’s probably best if we all finish our tasks so we can go back to headquarters. I’ll see you guys at the next meet,” Cyan gave a quick wave before rushing off to the Cafeteria. “Guess he’s right,” Furry said with a sigh. “But now we can all back you up!” Nick nodded a little bit. “That was the plan,” He said, crossing his arms. Blue somehow managed to slip out of the room without saying a word.
“I’ll see you two around,” Furry said, turning away. “Wait!” I said before he could walk away. “How about we stick together, get our tasks finished, and then we could hang out in security, and catch the imposters.” He considered this and turned to me. “Alright, sounds like a good plan.” A small smile played on his lips and I grinned. “Great, what tasks do you two have?”

Some time passed and the three of us have gotten to the last of our tasks. I had download in Electrical, Niko had wires in Electrical, and Furry had to calibrate the distributor. Perfect, tasks side by side. We walked past the engines which still whirred and spewed steam as if they were still broken, but we knew otherwise. As we walked through the threshold of Electrical a sense of dread spread over me. “It’s alright Sam, we’ll be right by you,” Nick said to me, patting my shoulder lightly. I could tell he wasn’t just trying to assure me but him and red as well. I nodded a little bit and took my touchpad out of my pocket and walked over to the download pad as Niko and Furry took their places beside me. I hooked the wire to the download and watched as a version of me ran across the screen with papers to the touchpad folder. I glanced at the others to see Niko was gone. He just went to fix the wires nearby. I assured myself, he’ll be back soon. I glanced back to my screen, 50% complete, I cursed the damned thing for being so slow. Suddenly I heard a rattling noise coming from…. Beneath me. 55% now. Hurry up for god’s sake! I thought as my blood ran cold and the noise had stopped. I moved a shaky hand to the cable ready to yank it out and risk losing the data, ready to bolt out of that cursed room.
Furry could sense something was up as he walked closer to me and took the pad from my hand and he raised a finger for me to keep quiet, I nodded and slowly stepped off the vent on the floor and took a step back away from it. My ally in the red suit then carefully set the pad on the fusebox beside it, being mindful of the cable. He knelt down and took a closer look at the vent, I held my breath for the moment, ready to grab him and run.
“Hey you two okay?” I heard a voice say. I nearly leapt out of my skin and snapped my head to the voice. There stood a guy in a pink suit. “Y-yeah!” I said. “We’re good!” I exclaimed rubbing my neck. Furry looked over to the guy in the Pink suit. “Who are you?” he asked the newcomer. “N is my name, sorry I didn’t mean to sneak up on you two, just had to do wires in here,” They stood by the wire box and opened it. Right as my tablet beeped telling me it was ready. “L-lets go Furry… I think we have what we came for..” I said grabbing the tablet and Furry by the wrist before dragging him out of there. “Did you see anything?” I hissed to him under my breath. “Not really… but there was something in there.” He whispered back.
”Do you think it was…?”
“Most definitely”
“Let’s not go back in there ever again.”
“Agreed now let’s get this stuff to admin”
We got into Admin to see Niko finishing up the wires in there. I plugged in the tablet to upload the data, that was when the alarm sounded along with an announcement from the voice of a devastated woman.
“Blue is… dead.”
