City of Suits (not completed) By Reid H and Mira H

The entire world has been split into four quadrants. That might seem unbelievable because what you, the reader, knows the population of the world is around 7.8 billion people. Well now the population is around 10,000. In the year 3155 a plague hit known as the Crimson Breath. This deadly plague was known as the Crimson Breath because it would infect you from the inside out and almost seem as if your breath was a crimson color, and it was. This was so deadly that if there was someone, even within ten feet of you, they would get the plague too.

Chapter 20: Georgia

I’m still not quite sure what happened, but I think that I’m happy about what all went down. I knew that Jamie and my dad were going to attack me with questions as soon as I got back, so I walked as slowly as possible.
“Hey sweetie,” My father said kindly as I walked back to our campsite.
“What?” I said cautiously.
“Nothing. just saying hi,” He continued.
“Okay,” I said, walking towards my stuff and beginning to pack up.
“You want to talk about it?” My father asked.
“How about we talk about it?” Leo jumped in.
“Uhh, okay. Whatever is good for you,” My father agreed.
“Can I come too?” Jamie asked excitedly.
“No!” We all yelled.
“Fine,” Jamie gave up.
We all walked over to an area of the woods far enough away from Jamie. We didn’t need him eavesdropping on us. I know that he’s my brother and I only just got him back, but I’m sixteen and I need my personal space.
“So what do you want to talk about?” I asked.
“Seriously Georgia? What do you think?” My dad asked in his serious voice. I hadn’t heard that voice in so long, so it came as a surprise.
“Sorry,” I said quietly.
“You don’t have to be sorry,” My father assured me.
“Okay,” I said awkwardly.
“So what’s the deal with you two? What are you? What’s up with your relationship?” My father was always so awkward around me and Jamie.
“We’re us,” Leo said, glancing my way and squeezing my hand tighter.
“Well duh you’re you. What is this? I wanted drama!” We heard Jamie yell from behind us.
“Jamie!” I yelled and I whirled around to see Jamie peeking his head out from behind a tree.
“Sorry,” Jamie said, turning around and walking away.
“I don’t think we have anything else to talk about,” I said, turning around to walk back to camp with Jamie.
We all walked back and cleaned up our stuff. We got ready to get going again when Leo said, “Why did you kill your wife? I mean I know you didn’t, but why did the Club's mind control you and make you do it?”
“I don’t remember much, but I do remember that she knew too much. I don’t know exactly what she knew too much of. I assume she was close to figuring out the secrets that the Clubs were keeping from the rest of us,” My father explained.
“Oh,” Leo said quietly. “That makes sense.”
We started walking again. Leo and I continued to lead, hand in hand. We walked and walked for what seemed like hours. No one was talking so I thought that I would see what everyone was thinking.
I’m so happy that we’re finally together. Or whatever we are going to call it that we are, but whatever it is I’m happy about it. I wonder if it will actually last or not. I sure do hope so.
What Leo was thinking was pretty normal for how many times I’ve read his mind before.
When we get to the Club territory I hope dad and Georgia let me punch, kick, or knock someone out or something! I really want to help. I also want to beat someone up so I think that it works for both of us. I also really want Georgia and Leo to kiss again or something, because that sure was funny!
On that note, I thought that I should stop reading Jamie’s mind. It was exactly how I expected it to be.
Get out of my mind Georgia. I was a spade for 30 years. You think I don’t know when someone is reading my mind?
I stopped reading his mind and looked at him, and he was looking at me with that look that adults give you when they were right or they got their way. I looked at Jamie and he was picking a flower out of the ground and eating for some reason.
“Jamie!” I yelled at him.
“What?” Jamie asked with a mouth full of flowers.
“Get that out of your mouth!” I said, walking up to him and pulling the flower by it’s stem out of his mouth.
“I thought that this was the stuff that you ate when you lived in the wild!” Jamie said, spitting the remains of the flower onto the ground.
“No. No it’s not,” Leo said laughing to himself.
I looked at Leo. He smiled and looked back at me. I don’t know why, but it made me happy.
