Amandla and Kofi
Amandla rested on Kofi’s broad shoulder as they watched Warm Bodies on his jet black flat screen TV, that hanged upon the wall. “What’s wrong with me? I want to connect. Why can’t I connect with people?” The character spoke. “I mean I’m literally lost. I’ve never been to this part of an airport before.” The character continued. Kofi sighed as he watched the boring movie with his girlfriend. “I’m lonely. I’m lost.” The character said to himself. “I shouldn’t be so hard on myself. I mean, we’re all dead.”“Can I turn this?” Kofi asks impatiently. He slowly grabs the remote and tries to turn the channel. Amandla snatches it from him and hides it under the couch.
“We haven’t even got to the good part yet.” She says exhilarated by the film.
“Where is the ‘good’ part? I don’t see it yet.” He sighs again.
“Okay, okay. Fine!” She moves her head from his shoulder and grabs the remote. She pulls it from under the couch and hands it to him.
“Let’s watch basketball.”
“No! We are not watching those stupid sport games.” Amandla says angrily.
“Now you know how I felt watching that stupid movie!”
“Just to let you know, that movie was not stupid!”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah!”
