Chapter 5
After the lesson, Mica waited for me outside the classroom. We walked down to the school canteen and sat at a table."I heard those girls making fun of you." he said.
"It's okay. I'm used to it." I told him.
"They shouldn't, though." Mica frowned.
"Yeah, but they do." I sighed.
"What do they even have against you anyway? I know that they don't like you because you don't talk, but it's not like you're hurting anybody." Mica said.
"I don't know. They just pick on me all the time." I replied sadly.
"That's horrible. I wish I could do something about it." he said quietly.
"You don't have to worry about me." I muttered.
"But I do worry about you." Mica said, sounding concerned. He looked at me with sadness in his beautiful hazel eyes.
We sat in silence for a few minutes, then Mica spoke.
"Do you want to go to the park with me tonight?" he asked me.
I thought about this for a moment.
"Sure." I smiled.
