Should have listened
Author's note: I really gave up on the idea of this story but I decided to keep the story going it is just going to be different.I examined the diary carefully. It was old and was ripped up. From just looking at the side I could see that the paper which was once snow white had turned into a faded yellow color. I turned around and looked up at my curious friends. Sighing I looked back down at the diary and slowly opened it. Beautiful cursive hand writing was on the page. I looked up at the bottom of my page to see my 'Alexia Liddell' written on it. Having known now that this is her actual diary I looked back up at the top and started to read the beautiful hand writing. Just from reading this first page I could tell this is going to be one hell of a ride.
Looking back at my curious friends I began to speak.
"Who is ready for one hell of a ride?"(me)
"What the hell do you mean by that?!"(Cody)
"Well you see um...."(me)
"Come Ava spill it!"(Ruby)
"Well I think we should set up a camp first the Ava can tell us what is going on."(Diana)
"That sound great Diana. It is getting late anyway."(Hale)
"Okay we will find a spot in the woods and everyone will be put into groups."(Devin)
"What about what Harrold ,and Dee and Dum said?"(Diana)
"Well it was just something weird that is all."(me)
"Does that book say anything about it?"(Hale)
"Well it's just the first page but it does say that they told her not to leave the path. I've not read the rest so I do not really know what is going on."(me)
"But what did she do about what they said?"(Diana)
"She never left the path."(me)
"Well lets just go so maybe nothing will really happen if we leave the path."(Ruby)
"Yeah I am sure it will be okay."(Hale)
"Then lets go already."(Cody)
We all left the path and started heading into the woods.
We found a nice spot deep in the woods. Now we just have to do groups. Great now lets see how much fighting there will be......
"Okay since we have a place to camp out lets find groups."(Devin)
"AND how are we going to do that Mr. Smarty Pants."(Ruby)
"I got and idea."(me)
"And what is that Ava?"(Cody)
"Devin give me your hat."(me)
"WHAT NO WAY IN HELL YOU ARE GETTING MY HAT AGAIN!"(Devin)
"Calm down I just want to see if this will work."(me)
"Fine...."(Devin said handing me his hat)
All I did was think of six pieces of paper and each had number on them. Like two pieces had the number one ,another had the number two ,and the last ones had the number three. I pulled my hand out and there was the six pieces of paper I hoped for. Handing Devin his hat back I looked back at everyone.
"Okay everyone take a piece of paper from my hand and on three open your paper."(me)
After saying that everyone had grabbed a piece of paper from my hand.
"1."(me)
Everyone looked anxious and wished from me to hurry up.
"2."
Looking at me their eyes told me to hurry up.
"3."
Everyone ripped open their paper and looked at the number they each had. 3 that is the number that I had. I looked up at everyone and they were looked around just like I was.
"Okay who had number 3."(me)
"I do."(Hale)
"I got 1."(Devin and Diana)
"I guess that leaves me and the cat."(Ruby)
"Do not call me a cat!"(Cody)
"You got ears and a tail do you not."(Ruby)
"Shut up you rabbit."(Cody said under his breath)
I sighed at what was going to happen.
"Okay well now to assign the groups task. Devin and Diana will get water ,Cody and Ruby will get the food ,and Hale and I will get fire wood."(me)
They nodded and we all went our separate ways.
Hale and I were walking around. We would pick up sticks that looked good enough to burn.
"Hey Ava?"(Hale)
"Yes what is it my little hare."(me)
"What do you think will happen?"(Hale)
"Why do you mean by that?"(I said looking at him cocking my head to the side)
"Why do you thing they told us not to leave the path."(Hale)
"I do not know hale but what ever reason there was for telling us that nothing really has happened to us so we should be fine."(me)
"But-"(Hale)
"Hale nothing has happened so we are fine. Please do not worry."(me)
"Ava are we going to be okay here?"(Hale)
"I can not answer that Hale. I do not know what lies in our future."(me)
"Ava?"(Hale)
"Yes?"(me)
"How do yo think the others are doing?"(Hale)
"They should be doing fine. Lets go back we seem to have enough wood."(me)
Hale nodded and we started to head back.
It was a quiet walk back to our camp spot. When we had arrived no one was there but us. Hale and I placed the fire wood in the middle. I pulled out a lighter from my pocket to start the fire. After making the fire Hale and I sat by it ,waiting for our friends to come back. We waited and waited for them to show up. After a while we heard a loud band behind us. I turned around quckly but there was nothing. No wind blowing ,no sound from the dead leaves nothing could be heard. Turning back around I seen the fire getting lower. So I got up and grabbed some dead leaves and placed them in the fire. Sitting back down I heard anothing bang ,but thing time it was right under Hale and I. Looking around the ground had a circular crack around us. Everything suddenly broke and I started falling. Looking around everything was black but I seen Hale close by and grabbed his hand. A look of fear on both of our faces as we were falling down a hole one again.
Down ,down ,down we go. Where we stop nobody know maybe this hole will lead us somewhere we never imagined.
