Me and Espio waited for Nikki and Crazy to come back. "It's getting late." Espio said. I yawned. "Yeah, I hope nothing happened to her." I said concerned. Espio smirked. "Nikki? In trouble? "BOO!" I jumped and turned around to find someone red. I grabbed Nikki by the wrist and started to run. "Wait! It's me Knuckles!" The person yelled. "WHAT?! I told him NOT to tell!" I yelled. I facepalmed my self. "Calm down. He just told me and Shadow because he told us about what happened between you and Scourge." Knuckles said. "So I have bodyguards?" I asked. Knuckles smiled proudly. "Yep. I take the night shift and Shadow takes day shift." He said. "You do know that Nikki IS my bodyguard?" I asked. "AH!" We ran over to where the scream came from. We saw Nikki dangling from her trap that she set p for the tooth fairy. Me and Knuckles laughed our heads off. "Haha, very funny. Now let me go." Nikki sad annoyed. Me and Knuckles got Nikki free from her trap. "Thanks." She said. "No problem kiddo." Knuckles said. "I was talking to Ezra, but you work to Knux." She said. Knuckles glared at her while she too started to laugh. Nikki yawned and jumped in my arms. "I'm tired. Let's go to sleep." She said. "I'll keep watch." Knuckles said. I leaned up against a tree and me and Nikki fell asleep.
